Space Autographs SPACE AUTOGRAPHS –USA – 248 / 1947 NEIL ARMSTRONG AUTOGRAPHED HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOK ‘RETROSPECT’ ............................ PH $4000-6000 Extremely rare signed Neil Armstrong 1947 ‘Retrospect’ high school yearbook from Blume High School in Wapakoneta, Ohio. An 8x11\" hardbound book of 88 pages, with padded & embossed covers. This was Armstrong’s senior year. Arm-strong’s signature (on page 12) in bold blue fountain pen and in signature style known from his high school days. Entire signature page (which contains others as well) is clean and crisp, despite age of yearbook (65 years). Armstrong’s photo found in several other places in the yearbook, including page 44 (band officers), page 45 (band), page 52 (Senior Hi-Y Club), page 57 (Student Council, twice), and page 65 (‘Retrospect’ Staff). Quite a leader, even in high school. Yearbook condition overall is good with some aging, coloring by former owner and a few underclassman images cut out (none from any Armstrong pages). But, again, Armstrong’s autograph page is crisp, clean and very fine. Only a handful of these from this small Ohio high school have ever turned up. A very key item for the serious Apollo collection!
