THE MELTING SITE BY MOHAMMAD KADEEN A SADJAIL
THE MELTING SITE WRITTEN By: Mohammad Kadeen A. Sadjail OF 8-Linn aeus
Kane is one of the scientists stationed in Antarctica. He and his friend Arthur were both administered to study the climate of Antarctica. They would observe and measure the ice that is covering Antarctica during the day. They would have to use a vehicle as they usually travel for long distances and would have to still have to get back. They are currently looking for a good site to start their research.
\"Hey, I think that spot seems like a good spot we could start our observations on\" said Kane. \"Let's take a closer look first before we head back to camp\" said Arthur. Kane and Arthur stepped out of the vehicle and walked toward the spot they saw. \"Yeah, I think this spot looks good\" said Arthur. \"Alright then, let's head back to camp before it turns into nighttime\" said Kane. Arthur marks the site with a flag so they could return to it tomorrow. Arthur and Kane went back in the vehicle and drove off back to their camp so they could
arrive before its nighttime. A few hours later they arrive at their camp. They would then get ready for bed after eating. The next day, \"Good morning\" said Kane. Arthur replied, \"Good morning as well\". Arthur and Kane take turns in taking a shower. After they get ready in their clothes, they proceed to eat breakfast. After they finish their breakfast they go outside and prepare the necessary equipment to start their observations.
\"Are you ready?\" asked Arthur. Kane replied, \"Yeah I am, let's go and start our observation\". Arthur and Kane proceed to the site. A few hours later they arrive and they start setting their equipment to start observing. After setting their equipment, they would spend 2 hours on the site observing. Kane notices something with the ice, he notices that it melts faster than expected. Kane writes it down and proceeds to tell Arthur
about it as well. \"Arthur look the ice is melting faster than expected compared to our predictions\" said Kane. Kane hands the data of the predictions to Arthur to compare it. \"You're right it is melting faster than expected, we should report this back at camp.\" said Arthur. \"Sure, let's head back to camp and report this.\" replied Kane. Kane and Arthur headed back to camp to report it. After they arrived, they immediately reported it and were then assigned to help in solving the current causes of the increase in the rate of melting of ice.
Kane and Arthur thought of one of the main causes which is a global problem, climate change. So they first focused on finding ways to stop climate change. \"We should first start on telling people to save energy at home\" said Arthur. \"Alright, we should also tell them why we should stop climate change, like an increase in temperatures and a loss in wildlife\" said Kane. \"Sounds good to me, we'll be heading back to our hometowns in a few days, we can also post flyers which would tell, as well as lead to more information about climate change\" said Arthur.
\"We should also add that we should remember to implement the 3 R's, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle as the things like the electronics we buy can actually cause carbon emissions which means the release of carbon into the atmosphere\". said Arthur. \"Looks good to me, it seems like its nighttime already let's go eat and then get ready to sleep\" said Kane. The next two days they would work on the flyers, and would share information about climate change online. \"Alright the flyers look good, lets post the information online as well now\" said Kane. \"Okay, let's ask everyone in the main camp for help too\" said Arthur. \"Alright, let's head to the main camp first\" said Kane.
\"Kane and Arthur head to the main camp and ask for the other scientists' help in posting and sharing information about climate change, why we should stop it and how we could stop it. Kane and Arthur head back to their hometowns the next day, they told their friends and family and eventually posted flyers. Other people have also begun spreading the information Kane and Arthur shared online. A few weeks have passed and the posts of Arhur and Kane have over 100 million shares online. The next few years it would eventually reach to more than 3 billion users online. More people as well would start in helping with stopping climate change. The rate of the ice melting has slowed down as well. It would still take more time for it to be the same way the ice was before. END OF STORY
The story talks about climate change, why we should stop it, and how we should stop it. We should always remember to implement the 3r's which were taught to us, as it could help in stopping climate change. Did you know? the story was named the melting site as the site Kane and Arthur was observing had ice, which Kane noticed was melting faster than usual.
