‫قصة الضوء‬ ‫‪STORY OF LIGHT‬‬ ‫سوا ًء كان طبيعيًا من الشمس أو صناعيًا من مصادر بديلة‪ ،‬فإن الضوء‬ ‫هو ضرورة للحياة‪ ،‬مما جعل البشرية عبر التاريخ تعمل على تطوير طرق‬ ‫للحصول على الضوء طوال الوقت‪ ،‬في أي مكان وكلما دعت الحاجة‪،‬‬ ‫حيث كان أسلافنا القدماء يستخدمون النار كمصدر ثانوي للضوء بعد‬ ‫الشمس‪ ،‬واستمر ذلك حتى تم تطوير مصادر ضوئية صناعية أخرى‬ ‫مثل مصابيح الزيت والشموع‪ .‬وبعد فترة طويلة من استخدام مصادر‬ ‫الإضاءة التقليدية هذه‪ ،‬حدث تقدم كبير ‪ ،‬تحديدًا في القرن التاسع‬ ‫عشر‪ ،‬حيث تم اختراع الإضاءة الكهربائية ومنذ أن تم اختراع الإضاءة‬ ‫الحديثة التي تستخدم الكهرباء كمصدر للطاقة‪ ،‬كانت صناعة‬ ‫الإضاءة تمر بتغيرات هائلة‪ .‬وبعد سنوات من التطوير المستمر‪ ،‬أصبحت‬ ‫التقنيات التي تعتمد على أشباه الموصلات مثل ‪ OLED‬و ‪ LED‬أكثر‬ ‫تقد ًما مما أدى إلى ثورة تكنولوجية مهدت الطريق لتشكيل حقبة‬ ‫جديدة في صناعة الإضاءة الحديثة‪.‬‬

Whether natural from the Sun or artificial from alternative sources, light is a necessity for life. Humankind throughout history worked on developing ways to get light all the time, anywhere and whenever needed. Our ancestors had been using fire as a secondary source of light after the sun until other artificial light sources such as oil lights and candles have been developed. While time passed using these traditional lighting sources, the 19th century brought a humongous breakthrough; the invention of electrical lighting. Since the modern lighting which uses the electricity as a source of power was invented, the lighting industry has been going through tremendous changes and after years of continuous development, the semiconductor based technologies such as LEDs and OLEDs brought a technological revolution that paved the way to form a new era in the modern lighting industry.
