WELCOME TO LIBERTY CHURCH WIRRAL OUR VISION AND MISSION Our vision at LCW is to be a church of Christ-followers who authentically represent Jesus to each other and our community. Taking on the values of Christ in our lives everyday and encouraging others to do the same. To be a church that is led by God's Holy Spirit, understanding that it may mean we have to change our plans and ideas to follow what God wants. We want to be a church empowered by God to mobilise us for positive impact and be agents of change in Birkenhead and the surrounding areas. We want to be a church of actions and word. A church who shares the heart of God, causing us to reach out, connect and show people the love of God in relatable ways. Our mission is God's mission. Jesus gave us this mission and assignment 2,000 years ago and it has not changed. \"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all I have commanded.\" Mark 16:15 \"Go into all the world and preach the gospel\" - Matthew 28:19-20 Our passion, desire and goal is to obey Jesus in the assignment he has given us. To make disciples, that make disciples.

LIVERTY CHURCH WIRRAL WHAT WE BELIEVE Declarations of Faith At Liberty Church Wirral, we place Christ at the centre of all we do. Our passion and goal is to give glory to Jesus. The following statements of faith are the foundation on which our church and belief stand firm. Please carefully read what we believe about Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit, the Bible and other significant aspects of our faith. Our statements of belief guide the actions and decisions as a church. INSPIRED WORD OF GOD THE TRINITY OF GOD We believe that the Bible. is the inspired We believe in the Triity (3 persons) of the One word of God. That it is infallible and True and Living God who is eternal. God has sufficient for guiding our faith and revealed himself as One Being co-existing in practice. three-persons. Namely the Father, Son and Holy Spirit LIFE OF JESUS We believe in the Virgin Birth, that Jesus was sinless and had a Miraculous Ministry. We believe that He substituted himself for our sins, by his death. We believe that Jesus was resurrected from death and then ascended (was taken up) to heaven. We believe that Christ lives in us and intercedes (prays on our behalf) to God and that He will return as a physical person full of power and Glory as a sign of hope for all believers. FALL OF MAN We believe that mankind was made as perfect beings, pure and righteous in the sight of God. We also believe that mankind, fell away from God's righteousness by choosing to commit sin (Adam & Eve in the garden of Eden). We are now born sinful because of their actions and require a way to atone for our sins, so we can become pure and righteous before God once again.
SALVATION THROUGH FAITH NEW BIRTH We believe in salvation through faith in This experience is also known as being 'Born Christ, who the scriptures tell us, died for Again' and happens for every believer our sins, was buried and was raised from the instantly at the time they accept Christ into dead on the third day. their life. Communion honours Jesus death on the cross, burial and resurrection, which gives us a sign of hope that we will also be resurrected on the day He returns, so we can spend our eternal life with God. This will also be the time that God judges the world and those who don't believe will face eternal punnishment but those who believe will spend eternity with Christ.

Ministry simply means to 'Serve Others' and this is a call for every Christian. We offer many opportunities to service at Liberty church, enabling everyone to be an active part of God's work, building his kingdom and reaching out to the world. LIBERTY CHURCH WIRRAL OUR CULTURE Compassion One of the driving forces behind Jesus and His ministry was his compassion and love for people. In Matthew 9:36 we read that when Jesus saw the multitudes of people coming to him, he was 'moved with compassion'. This love and compassion he felt towards people, compelled him to act. It was not a duty that motivated him but love. At Liberty Church we desire that same and want our actions to be motivated by love and compassion for everyone. Respectful In our communication and interactions with each other, we aim to show respect. We understand that not everyone will agree with our views and opinions (and that's okay) but we do still aim to be respectful in how we express our beliefs. Empowering As a Pentecostal Church, we believe in the need to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We also believe in the importance of empowering and encouraging one another in their faith. We believe that every person has the potential to be all that God has created them to be. We seek to empower, encourage and equip you to fulfil the purpose that God has placed in you, for God's glory. And in turn, for you to grow and lift those around you up. Sevice The love and compassion of Jesus, is often expressed through serving others. There is a beautiful story in the bible that shows us Jesus serving his disciples by washing their feet. The disciples are astonished that Jesus, the Messiah, would stoop down and take the position of a slave or servant. This is a lesson for us all. If Jesus, the son of God, was willing to wash someone's feet, then we can do the same. We are confident that God calls us all to serve people. This is how we can show the love of Jesus at Liberty Church and beyond our walls to every person we encounter.
