INTESTINES The intestines are a long, continuous tube running from the stomach. Their main function is to digest food. They help break down food, so that the body can use it for energy. The intestines also help remove waste from the body.

LUNGS The lungs are a pair of spongy, air-filled organs, located on either side of the chest, that allow us to breathe. They bring oxygen into our bodies (inhalation) and remove carbon dioxide (exhalation).

THE HEART The heart is roughly the size of a fist and sits in the middle of your chest, slightly to the left. It's the muscle at the centre of your circulation system, pumping blood around your body as your heart beats

THE BRAIN The brain is the most complex organ of the body. It has been likened to the body’s central computer system, receiving, processing and interpreting information. Your brain also stores memories and controls your movements.
