THE EVALUATION OF THE STUDENTS’ QUESTIONNAIRE The aim of the questionnaire is to detect the attitudes and knowledge about some important topics related to the project of the students. The questionnaire of the students taking part in this project is applied twice as post and pre-tests at the January and May, 2021. 1) “I have already grown plants by germinating the seeds.” Pre –test Results Post –test Results According to the answers of students, there were students that had never plant seeds with germination, but at the end there is seen a rapid increase in this amount. Also there are 5% of increase in the amount the students that planted 1-5 plants before; and 7% of increase in the amount the students that planted more than 5 plants before. This rapid increase shows us the students experiences about planting raised due to the application of the project. 2) “I like attending activities done in nature.” Pre –test Results Post –test Results Although there is a small of increase in the percentage of students whom like attending activities in nature, this shows us that the project reached the aim of enhancing students about the taking role in nature. This raise in the results meant that it is reached one of the aims of the project is to make pupils care about environmental problems, active and sensitive to the environment. In the changing dynamics of the world, while most pupils are spending much time in technology, there are still ones who really care about nature and environment. 3) “I have information about the all conditions needed for a plant while growing” Pre –test Results Post –test Results

There is seen 30 % of increase in the amount of the students whom know about the conditions needed for a plant while growing. This raise shows that the students learned more about the plants and what they need while growing. There is also a big change in the amount of the pupils that were neutral in this question. Preparing the seed cards, making introductive videos of the plants, playing the seed themed dramas, taking the photos of the plants while growing, mixed school teams’ Kahoot games and the first domain expert webinar about the seeds made the project reached its aims of knowing all aspects of the agricultural plants grown in the city the students live in, choosing the seed of one of these plants, introducing them to the other schools involved in the project. It also helped them to have acquiring life skills by knowing the basic factors in the reproduction, growth and development of plants. 4) “I like seeing more green areas around” Pre –test Results Post –test Results As seen 97% of the students wanted to see more green are around, there is a clear increase in the amount of the students who cares about the nature and sensitive about it. The activities carried out in water day and earth day made them more sensitive. Growing the plants at homes and classes also made them like more green area around. 5) “I am willing to attend environmental projects carried out at my school.” Pre –test Results Post –test Results The students germinated the seed, planted and cared about them. They also came together to work together during the project. They played games, wrote stories, mixed school teams’ Kahoot games and played the dramas together in order to enhance the project aims at school. Although they like environmental issued projects at school before, the decrease in the amount

of disagreed students shows that all the activities in the project made them happier to be a part of such projects. 6) “I know what an individual have to do for the solutions of environmental issues.” Pre –test Results Post –test Results There is seen a rapid increase of 28% in the amount of pupils knew about the solutions of the environmental problems. The webinar of the domain experts, watching informative videos, writing the story books, playing the seed themed dramas and the mixed school teams’ Kahoot games helped them to learn more about it. This project also helped the pupils to be more not only sensitive to environment, but also innovative, enterprising, productive and empathetic in accordance with the skills of the 21st century. 7) “I have ................ knowledge about the agricultural products grown in my region” Pre –test Results Post –test Results While the students choosing their seeds of their region, they searched and discussed about this issue. As seen in the results, there is an also increase of 7 percentages in the number of pupils saying “much”, increase of 8 percentages in the number of pupils saying “medium” and obvious decrease in the number of pupils saying “less”. The domain expert videos and the mixed school games helped the project reached its aims at that point. 8) “The methods used in agricultural activities should always be evaluated in terms of the environment.” Pre –test Results Post –test Results

Although there is a small increase in the number of the students agreeing on the agricultural activities should always be evaluated in terms of the environment, it means that the domain expert webinars, mixed school team games, forums helped them to enhance their knowledge and attitude toward the subject. 9) “I have................knowledge about sustainable living .” Pre –test Results Post –test Results 13% of increase in the amount of the pupil knew “much” and a obvious decrease in the amount of the pupil knew “less” about the sustainability. The mixed school team activities, second domain expert webinar, forums, Water Day-Earth Day and Biodiversity Day activities has great contribution on that raise in the results. The aim of making the pupils more sensitive individuals who care about environmental problems, know the importance of sustainable life is reached according to this evaluation. 10) “I have..........................knowledge about biodiversity.” Pre –test Results Post –test Results As compared to the pupils knowing medium information, the number of the pupils knew much information has sowed a rapid increase in amount. The effect of the activities of seed cards, informative seed videos, celebrating the Biodiversity day, domain expert webinars and mixed school team works is seen in the results, clearly. It can be said that to have knowledge about the agricultural products of their own city and other cities is gained through all this activities.

11) “I enjoy working with students who are not from my class / school” Pre –test Results Post –test Results The results show that although the pupils enjoy activities with working with other students before, there is an increase in the amount. The activities such as the mixed school team games, the drama plays, the selections of the logos and posters, writing the stories of the seeds, forums, online meetings of students , making slogans helped them to collaborate together which was one of the projects’ aims. This result also proves that there has been an integration of hearing-impaired students with their peers by taking part in the project and also gaining social responsibility by working with individuals in need of special education in the near and far surroundings. 12) “I like doing different activities and studies in digital environments.” Pre –test Results Post –test Results One of the aim of the project was developing the students’ digital competencies and making them to use Web 2.0 tools safely and effectively. The project also aimed to contribute more innovative, enterprising, productive and sensitive individuals who can establish empathy in accordance with their 21st century skills. The increasing results in the agreed students on this question is occurred as a result of the activities based on Web 2,0 tools like Canva, Kahoot, Mentimeter, Classtools, Wordart, Mindmeister, etc. and also using the twinspace and attendance in online meetings and webinars,too. It can be said that the pupils could use digital world actively, safely and efficiently In summary, the results showed the all the expected results are achieved through this project. The students integrated with hearing-impaired students, had responsibilities , learned about the agricultural products, acquired information about the basic factors in the reproduction, growth and development of plants, explained the importance of sustainable and natural life ,used of Web 2.0 tools safely and efficiently; developed analytical and creative thinking, independent decision making, cooperation, taking responsibility, self-expression skills.
