A MUSICAL NIGHT!To support, encourage and to hone skills of employees in music, Tata Power introduced a platform - SARGAM. The initiative, mentoredby Mr. Debabrata Guha, has grown from strength-to-strength, as has the enthusiasm and melody.'Sargam Nite' was organised and hosted by Corporate HR on 27th May and held at the Yashwantrao Pratisthan in Mumbai. The eventwas graced by senior leaders of Tata Power, including the CEO & MD, COO, CFO, CEOs and their families and near and dear ones.The musically packed, three-hour show included performances ranging from classical music, semi-classical and light music - all drawnfrom popular Bollywood classics ranging from the 50s to some recent numbers. Performances included solo artistes in vocals as wellas whistling, duets, chorus and instrumental rendering.Swaying to the melody and foot tapping rhythm, the audience - nearly 300 in number - appreciated through applauses as well as byhooting 'Once more!'This evening was a culmination of the tireless diligence, commitment and creativity of team Sargam, fondlyreferred to as the Society for Music at Tata Power.At the end of the performances, ourCEO & MD Mr. Anil Sardana stated that henceforth team Sargam would be considered the officialband of Tata Power and encouraged the team to enlist for various performances. MINI CLUBS IN ACTIONClub Enerji saves 17.25 Million units nationally, sensitises 12.8 million citizens across11 locationsThe Club Enerji movement has successfully achieved a significant milestone of saving 17.25 million units of electricity by sensitisingmore than 12.8 million citizens across 11 locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Lonavala, Maithon, Belgaum,Jamshedpur and Ranchi. This saving is equivalent to saving 17000 tons of CO2, which is equivalent to the amount of energy.Club Enerji sensitises 2.2 lakh citizens across DelhiIn 2015-16, Club Enerji sensitised around 2.2 lakh citizens in Delhi through primary contact programme and secondary sensitisation andsaved around 9.5 lakh MUs in the city of Delhi. Tata Power's ‘Energy Conservation Programme' introduced in more than 25 schools in thecity, aims at creating maximum impact by educating and creating awareness amongst citizens on the effective management andconservation of energy in our everyday life. Tata Power’s Club Enerji movement in New Delhi currently has 4,266 Energy Champions and2,645 Energy Ambassadors across schools.Club Enerji sensitises 2 lakh citizens across Ahmedabad; saves approx. 4 lakh MUs of energy inthe cityTata Power's Club Enerji sensitised around 2 lakh citizens in Ahmedabad in 2015-16 through primary contact programme and secondarysensitisation and saved around 4 lakh MUs in the city of Ahmedabad.
