Youwill collaborate with your team members this week using Scoop.it. This tip sheet will show you how toset up an account, create a topic and search for content. This assignment does not require any skillsbeyond the ability to use a keyboard and a mouse. Scoop.it is a free site where you can search on topics, curate content by topic, and collaboratewith anyone there. While the number of topics is almost unlimited, for this assignment you will belimiting your topic to Collaborative E-learning.Getting to Scoop.it 1. In order to get started, you will need to set up an account. To set up an account, go to http://www.scoop.it/ 2. Once there, you should see this screen.
Setting Up an Account1. Looking at this screen, if you already have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can click on either of them and use that information to create an account. Otherwise, click on the Create New Account in the middle of the page and create a Scoop.it account.2. You should then be taken to this Sign Up screen.
3. Here you will fill out the required information. After you enter your name, email, password, and captcha, click Sign Up in the green box in the lower right hand corner.4. You should then be taken to this Create your first Topic screen. Now that you have signed up, you are ready to create your first topic.
Create a Topic1. Here you will create your first topic. Enter your topic name in the box labeled Name Your Topic. Click the green box in the lower right hand corner Create a Topic. You will be prompted to add a few key words.Search for Topics1. You should be taken to this screen where you can see your topic as well as search for content related to that topic. Now that you have created your topic page, you are ready to start curating. Happy Curating!
