by the MAY NUMBER$ The sentiment for the Coffee with Cardillo call in June was quite different from the previous ones… one with positive news and optimism for the summer months! “I am happy to inform everyone that for the first time this year, we made a profit in our operating income in May” explained Rick. “This comes after an April where we were close to breaking even and our lead indicators tell us we should continue this trend into summer”. Rick went on to detail that the company earned over $600k in operating income on a month with 2023 high levels in funded production, locks and applications. CCM funded $48 million, which was $17 million more than we did in May (and we did it with one less business day). As has been the case for most months, the majority of what was funded was purchase money loans, which continues to be our strength. Although the inventory shortage continues to hamper our business, it is an even more impressive sign that we continue to grow our purchase production. We had 13 producers fund 5 or more loans in May compared to only 4 in April and we had 5 branches fund $4 million or more compared to only 2 in April. All great signs that we are on the right track. Our Las Vegas branch funded 27 loans for $8.5M which were both the highest numbers we have seen for any branch this year. More great news was that we took in 253 new loan applications which was our best month year to date. While looking to the future with optimism, Rick emphasized that we are still in an uphill battle, and it will continue to take great effort from everyone to keep us heading in the right direction. “We are still facing industry headwinds and we must keep our oars in the water” he explained and continued to detail that the interest rates are still high and keeping potential buyers on the sidelines and keeping inventory low. However, the fact was pointed out that CCM is doing things to build production in lieu of these issues so we are not totally dependent on a rate drop to boost business. We are adding products, we are adding Business Development Reps in the field to grow RE Agent relationships, we continue to add marketing strategies to focus on non-purchase business and we are recruiting across the country. Rick finished the call by thanking everyone for all of their incredible contributions in May and just asked that we all keep our focus. “If we together just keep doing what we are doing, I am confident we will continue to show financial progress! We are already ahead of May in most important categories, and we expect nothing short of another successful month in June.”

Capital Markets/Secondary Last month, the Capital Markets/Secondary Team volunteered their time at the Fourth Street Clinic in downtown SLC. The Fourth Street Clinic has been around for the last 40 years, helping homeless Utahns improve their health and quality of life by providing high quality health care and support services. We helped restock and sort medical supplies, clean, and inventory supplies. The Fourth Street Clinic is a wonderful organization dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the growing SLC homeless population. It was wonderful to be able to meet some of their finest employees and learn about this great non-profit organization. The clinic is constantly looking for volunteers & donations. If you are interested in volunteering your time, contact Korie Thomas at [email protected] or you can visit their website- https:// fourthstreetclinic.org/ to learn more about their mission or to donate online.
