Now let’s get to work. made hard decisions and right sized the Company to make sure we could endure the economic environment and come out the other side fine. The second thing is 2022 is now over (Thank God). Well, 2023 is now here and I do expect things to slowly improve over the next two quarters and get back to 2018-2019 levels by 3rd and 4th quarters. But to make sure CCM keeps pace with the slow recovery we must out work our competitors. Sales needs to out-market, out-sell and out-network your competition. Operations needs

by the 2022 NUMBER$ 2022 came in like a lion and went out like a lamb. There’s no other way to put it…this was a very tough year and a year in which we experienced unprecedented challenges and obstacles. The good news is that we finished with a little momentum, and we start a new year with new goals and a new reality. In addition, we just completed our 2023 Strategic Planning Meeting with all Branch Managers where we discussed individual and company strategies on how we are going to navigate the uncertain terrain to have a successful 2023. All our production leaders returned to their respective markets motivated for the new year and armed with great information and ideas and the motivation to execute. In December we funded $37 million in production, which, although far less than we need to fund, was a 20% increase from November. Like the previous few months, the business was predominantly purchase money loans and we continued to see an increase in our government products. Our greatest challenge will come from our locked loan pipeline heading into January at its lowest levels in a very long time. We all know that the holidays and seasonality play a large part in this equation, so it is not surprising. Yet we also know that for us to have a successful 2023, we will need to see the spark in locked loan volume soon. January is historically the worst month in our industry, so the expectation is that we experience some growth by February and into the spring purchase season. As Rick Cardillo and Scott Gonzalez detailed to the Branch Managers during the strategic Planning Meetings, our financial position continues to be strong even through the past quarter of losses and we can confidently move forward knowing we have additional “bullets in the gun” if needed. However, they cautioned everyone to really understand that we must all work together with all efforts to ensure we pull thru the down period and into a period of normalized production. They emphasized that getting back to a $60 million monthly number would ensure we are not only breaking even but potentially profitable given how well we have managed our costs and expenses over the 4th quarter. Rick’s message to the Branch Managers once they all got back to their offices this week was simple yet important: “Again, thank you all for a great meeting…thank you for sharing your insight on the market and your game plans to build up momentum and volume in the coming months. Now it’s time to take all your words and insights and turn them into actions! I challenge each of you and your LOs that are on your team to execute. Let’s start with every producer getting one lock this week. Let’s build the pipeline starting now. I want those BMs with LOs that report to you to get one lock from each LO this week.”
