Purpose In 2014, The St. Louis Today newspaper printed an article showing that St.Louis ranked No. 1 in the nation for Chlamydia and No. 2 nationally for Gonorrhea and these rankings have been the same for the past 3 years. It is believed that the reason for the high amount of STD cases in the St.Louis area is because: 1) The low comprehensive sex education courses in public schools 2) The Missouri Legislation rejecting the expansion of Medicaid coverage 3) Young people feeling invincible to Sexual Transmitted Diseases Hot 104.1 is going to use their platform as the #1 urban radio station in the state of Missouri and partner with local public schools and free clinics to spread the message of the unfortunate rankings of the state and also to inform their young listeners how important it is to be careful and. . .
