They tell methat they've already spoken to an insurance agent, know how much health insurance will costthem, and tell me that they are very sorry, but they just cannot afford the bill! When I ask them

how much the agent quoted them, I find that they were given price estimates two or three timesmore than my initial offer. Why does that happen? Well, I can think of lots of reasons why agents would be tempted to sellthe most expensive plans possible, but I also know that agents would rather make a smaller salethan no sale at all! I think the price quotes have more to do with a client's expectations thanagent's greed. Many clients are starting their own business after years in a corporate environment, and theywere used to a group plan that covered almost any medical service with very small copays. Many clients are just not aware how much their old company contributed to a comprehensiveplan like that, and when they quote invididual health insurance they get sticker shock! The thing is, individual health insurance quote is usually cheaper than a group plan for the sameperson or family! That is because a company can underwrite every person on the plan, and arenot locked into a contract to take everybody.I am the first one to admit that health insurance takes a big bite out of a budget, but by trimmingsome services and keeping others, I can tailor a very satisfactory health insurance plan at a verybudget friendly price. If your family does not visit the doctor more than a couple of times a year, I would start byasking my clients to consider eliminating a doctor's copay. If you pay a $30 copay for a $100doctor's visit, then you have saved $70. However, the copay feature of an insurance policy oftenadds 25% to a health insurance premium! For a family of four, that could mean you are paying$100 or more to save $70! In addition, most health insurance plans enroll you in a network, soyour $100 doctor's bill may be reduced by 40 - 60% even without the copay.Another consideration is your deductible. You probably cannot afford the $500 deductible thatyour old group plan had, but by raising that to $1500 - $2500, you will notice a sharp decline inyour monthly health insurance bill! If possible, try to save some of the diffence in case you dohave a major hospital bill. But even if you can only afford a $5,000 hospital deductible, and you really don't have 5K tospare, you really shouldn't be concerned. The insurance card establishes your ability to pay tothe hospital, and you won't be asked to write a check before service. You will be sent a bill, andcan work out a payment plan after your health issue is resolved. When you balance the liklihoodof a hospital stay against saving hundreds of dollars every month, most families will come outahead with a higher deductible.Accident plans and critical illness insurance can be low cost forms of coverage that will helpyou trim bills if you do have a major health issue.I think it is more important to make certain that your health insurance policy is comprehensive, and will cover expensive medical services, rather than worrying about a larger deductible. Before you purchase a policy for your family, find out how it will handle cancer treatments, organ transplants, and out of town emergencies!Remember, you are buying health insurance to protect your health and assets in case of a veryserious illness, and not to cover a $12 bottle of antibiotics. If minor viruses were the only healthissue we risked, nobody would worry about health insurance at all!

Title:Women's Sexual Health: Age Doesn't MatterWord Count:507Summary:Based on a recent study, there appeared to be no differences with respect to frequency of sexualintercourse or the desire for sexual activity not involving intercourse among the differing agegroups. Age did not make a difference in regard to frequency of orgasm or in sexual satisfactionratings with their partners. Keywords:women's sexual healthArticle Body:Most women fear that as they age and the hormone levels drop, so too will their enjoyment of,and oftentimes desire for sex.Fortunately, while diminishing hormones and sex may happen in the same breath, the latestresearch indicates that sexual desire has less to do with these changes than it does with lifestyleand other women's sexual health factors, at least some of which are under a woman's directcontrol.According to reports from a group of distinguished European sex experts in the first eversupplement to The Menopause, the journal of the North American Menopause Society, thefindings have helped healthcare professionals discard the notion that sexual difficultiesoccurring close to menopause are either biologic or physiologic. The new research was part of a series of studies conducted on female sexual dysfunction by thedepartment of clinical psychiatry and psychotherapy at Hanover Medical School in Hanover,Germany. As part of the overall project, 102 women aged 20 to ?5 plus?answered 165 questionsdesigned to flush out determinants of female sexual satisfaction.Specifically, researchers hoped to determine satisfaction with sex life in general, sexualsatisfaction and orgasm during intercourse, petting, masturbation, attitudes towards sexuality, quality of partnership, and women's sexual health myths.Based on the study, there appeared to be no differences with respect to frequency of sexualintercourse or the desire for sexual activity not involving intercourse among the differing agegroups. Age did not make a difference in regard to frequency of orgasm or in sexual satisfaction搗ratings with their partners. For example, 29% of women up to age 45 reported having orgasms ery often,?compared with 26% of women over age 45.Even more dramatic was that while 41% of women over age 45 reported having orgasms\"often,\" only 29% of younger women reported having orgasm \"often.\"Among the few differences in the groups: Women over 45 reported having fewer orgasmsduring non-intercourse sexual activity or during masturbation. Both groups of women reporteda dual dimension necessary for successful lovemaking that included having both feelings ofemotional closeness to their partner and satisfactory physical experiences.

After comparing all the answers from both older and younger women, as well as from womenwho reported sexual problems and those who did not, researchers concluded that the singlemost influential factor with regard to women's sexual health satisfaction via intercourse was thequality of the partnership, in particular the quality of mutual respect, which then becomes ofgreater importance as a woman ages. After comparing these study results to earlier and ongoing findings, the researchers concludedthat the basis of any sexual problems that did occur at midlife could not be drawn frommenopause status or age alone. Instead, life stressors, contextual factors, past sexuality, andmental health problems are more significant predictors of midlife on women's sexual healthinterest than menopause status itself. This study was just one of several research papers presented in the journal on the subject ofwomen's sexual health dysfunction. Each one striving to shed much needed light on a subjectthat some believe has been hidden in the shadows too long.
