Prada opens its first Indian store in the fashion capital, at The Chanakya, Chanakyapuri. New Delhi, India: 17th October, 2021 Prada unveiled its first store in the fashion capital of India, New Delhi, on 17th October, 2021; at The Chanakya, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. A private event took place on 16th October, 2021, which was an invite only preview of the women’s and men’s collections for the season, open to some of the city’s top influential people in the fashion industry, including bloggers, influencers, stylists, and magazine editors. The flagship store of Prada echoes elements rooted in the signature style of this timeless brand. The boutique extends over one floor – offering a selection of ready-to-wear clothing, the Re-nylon collection, bags, accessories and footwear for men and women in unisex and thematic versions as well as exclusive Prada Re-Nylon mini pouch bags featuring original Indian prints dedicated to the first store opening in the country. The interior, along with the elements composing it, is minimal and pure: an iconic black and white chequered floor with a unique “Prada Green” hue on the walls, giving it a clean aesthetic and making it the first “Green Store” in India. The store offers a series of experiential and service-oriented features, enhancing both the functioning and aura of the store. The dressing rooms are equipped with “magic mirrors,” a plasma screen invisibly built into the large mirror surface that allows customers to see themselves both from the front and the back at the same time.
