Dear Parents, Vacation are the most appropriate time for one to refresh and rejuvenate themselves to be creative, to learn new skills and performance more enthusiastically. Children have ample energy which should be channelized in the right direction to get the best out of them. We have designed holiday homework, keeping this in mind. It will build their confidence and new skills. The importance of Holiday Homework, set prior to a lesson can aid understanding later in the class. Homework also provides opportunities for reinforcement of work learned during school time and for children to develop their research skills. It also strengthens sense of responsibilities and improves development of personal skills such as time management gained by completing homework. Further, when homework proceeds smoothly it can become a positive aspect of your relationship with your child. • Holiday work should be done by your ward, under parental guidance. • The child should have a fixed time daily, for doing the assignments. • Nurture your child’s interest – be it art, music, dance or anything else. • Let him/ her pursue a hobby of his/ her own choice. • Please train your ward to become independent in his daily chores. Stay home, Stay safe!!
Healthy lifestyle be your priority • Go to bed early and wake up early even during the holidays. Follow the same timing regularly. • Take bath everyday morning…… Soak yourself in the tub and have fun in water sometimes. • Do exercise regularly and get into yoga. Remember and follow the yoga steps learnt in ‘Dunes Yoga Session’. • Follow simple eye exercises to strengthen your eye muscle. Eat lots of carrots, green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, and collards. • Pledge for “Eat Right -Less Sugar, Less Oil and Less Salt.” Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. • Drink a lot of liquid like water and other natural sources of water like tender coconut water, lime water, Buttermilk etc. • Wash hands frequently, especially before and after meal, after using the restroom, after playing with clay, sand etc. • Avoid sharing of towel, handkerchief, brush with others. • Trim your nails and hair regularly. • Regularize your time for revising the concepts learnt during online classes.

Numeracy is important for individuals to develop logical thinking and reasoning strategies Recreational Mathematics…. • Task 1:Make a calendar of your birthday month and highlight your birthday date. (shown in the picture). If any special events falls on the same month, mention that too. You can use your creativity to make the calendar presentable. ( save puzzle image in Padlet) • Task 2: Use chalk to draw a hopscotch pattern on the ground or use masking tape on the floor. Create a diagram with ten sections and number them by counting by 5's or in any number sequence. Play while counting numbers forward or backward.(Record the video and save it in Padlet) • Task 3:Create puzzles using the number grid as shown in picture.
