Our PTA members and our Doctor parents who were COVID warriors also received grand felicitations. The highlight of the event was honouring our top scorers and rankers who made our school proud by their excellent academic achievements. Balancing(Vrikshasana pose)Grade -1 & 2 One leg balance Standing poses have tremendous benefits for strengthening and stretching all group muscles in the legs, particularly the thighs, hamstrings, gluteus, calves and ankles. These muscles are some of the largest muscles in the body, which contributes to burn off stubborn fat and toning. 37
Balancing(Aeroplane 38 Pose) Grade 3 & 4 Helps in strengthening the leg muscles and adding shape: Considered to be a balancing pose, the leg that is holding the body in posture needs to work on tightening the calves, hamstrings and quads to give a better balance. This further tones the muscles giving shape along with strength.
The Squat Thrust can build muscle in your triceps and pecs while also activating lower body muscles like the hamstrings, quads, and glutes. Squat thrusts can improve cardiovascular health. With proper form, squat thrusts can add a cardio element to your workout routine, increasing your heart rate.
Traditional Push Ups are beneficial for building upper body strength. They work the triceps, pectoral muscles, and shoulders. When done with proper form, they can also strengthen the lower back and core by engaging (pulling in) the abdominal muscles. Pushups are a fast and effective exercise for building strength.
