Qin DynastyThe founder of the Qin Dynasty was Shi Huangdi. The Qin ruled for only 15years but they built the great wall. During the Qin the religion was legalism.
Zhou DynastyThe Zhou Dynasty (1046-256 BCE) was the longest-lasting of China's dynasties.It followed the Shang Dynasty (c. 1600-1046 BCE) and it finished when thearmy of the state of Qin captured the city of Changzhou in 256 BCE.
Shang DynastyThe Shang Dynasty (c.1600-1046 BCE) was the second dynasty of China whichsucceeded the Xia Dynasty (c. 2700-1600 BCE) after the overthrow of the Xiatyrant Jie by the Shang leader, Tang. Since many historians question whetherthe Xia Dynasty really existed, the Shang Dynasty may have actually been thefirst in China and the origin of what has come to be recognized as Chineseculture
Han DynastyAfter the civil war that followed the death of Qin Shihuangdi in 210 B.C., Chinawas reunited under the rule of the Han dynasty, which is divided into two majorperiods: the Western or Former Han (206 B.C.–9 A.D.) and the Eastern or LaterHan (25–220 A.D.).
The Great WallThe Great Wall of China actually consists of numerous walls and fortifications,many running parallel to each other. Originally conceived by Emperor Qin ShiHuang in the third century B.C. as a means of preventing incursions frombarbarian nomads into the Chinese Empire, the wall is one of the mostextensive construction projects ever completed.
