1922 2022 PAVIORS R.F.C. CENTENARY PAVIORS RFC BE A CENTURION WELCOME TO PAVIORS INFORMATION PACK THE MORE WE TRY THE MORE WE SUCCEED paviorsrfc.rfu.club

WELCOME TO PAVIORS We know communication is key to building a successful Club both on and off the pitch so whether you are new to Paviors or been around for years we hope this Welcome Booklet proves useful. We now live in a Covid-19 influenced world so no need to dwell on that but rest assured as near as it can be, it is business as usual at Burntstump. Our Members have provided great support to The Club during lockdown and we will repay that by having a safe and friendly facility available, as we negotiate the twists and turns along the ‘RFU Return to Rugby Road Map’ to the resumption of ‘normal rugby’. On that journey your safety will always come first. We haven’t let the grass grow under our feet since we had to shut down in mid March and significant changes are being made in the organisational structure. Our goal is to engage as many of you as possible in what we do and ensure your voices are heard and equally allow the Board to give insight into how a modern and successful rugby club has to be managed. Groups are springing up to manage various aspects of the organisation and there is more information later about this. A great initiative is in the pipeline to promote greater awareness and subsequent influence from parents and guardians. This is the brainchild of James ‘Rusty’ Wright who has children in both the Mini and Junior age groups having also played Senior Rugby. So a long association with Pavs right across the Club giving him a wide range of experience. Fittingly he has called it PIP, Parents Influencing Paviors and he will be informing us more about it in the next few weeks. In 2022 Paviors will have been established as a significant rugby club for 100 years and by then will have had Burntstump as our headquarters for 49 years. You will hear more about the social celebrations, keep an eye out for next year’s Summer Ball sadly a victim of the pandemic this year, and there will be much more. Our Legacy Project is going ahead and the planning application will be submitted in September. It is an extension to house bespoke changing rooms for all genders and ages fully complying with RFU Regulations. Much needed as our Boys Academy gathers pace much in line with Girls Age Group Rugby and the formation of a Women’s Team during the 20/21 season. It also gives us a great social space upstairs to hold various functions. There will be many more exciting initiatives being kicked off over the coming months and be sure Covid-19 won’t delay our long term plans to make Paviors better for everyone.
