A special thank you…… Tina Ruda joined the PPA Team back in 2014. She started off as a parent volun- teer, helping out at a few events. Her dedication, commitment and leadership style got her elected as PPA Vice Chair in in 2016. She was appointed PPA Chair in 2018 and leaves us this summer as her children move on from Priestmead. In her various roles on the PPA Team she has helped raise over £100k for our school! She was also nom- inated for 'Harrow's Heroes Award' for her valuable contribution & commitment to raising money for Priestmead! It's not easy to find a true leader like Tina and we thank her for sharing her expertise and for helping us establish the best Parent Teacher Association in Harrow! We wouldn't be where we are today without Tina’s dedication and commitment. Tina always put Priestmead children first on her agenda and always held Mr Hamidi to account over the years, making sure money raised by the Priestmead Parents Association was always put to the best use for ALL our children. She leaves a legacy which the PPA Team will build on, and continue to put children first and put the FUN in fundraising for our Priestmead children. Tina has been an amazing friend, a great ambassador for the PPA and leaves behind not just a Team but a family who will truly miss her. She really is an inspirational leader and we wish her all the best for the future. Thank you for everything you have done for Priestmead Tina! PPA Team & Mr Hamidi (a very proud Headteacher)
MAKING A DIFFERENCE! Our PPA are proud to have contributed to our School Outdoor Learning Programme. From creating our very own sustainable garden with lots of plants and veg to a dedicated Forest School Area.
Dear Parents / Carers, RE: Match Funding You will hopefully be aware of the fantastic work your PPA are doing to raise funds for our school. We wanted to take this opportunity to re- mind you about the Match Funding scheme and how a little bit of your time could raise double the funds for the PPA. If you work for an organisation that has a match funding policy, any money you raise could be matched by your employer. Companies may match the fundraising total for an event, or for the stall that their em- ployee is working on. Usually, the employee will need to supply them with a letter from us detailing the date and nature of the event, to- gether with the total amount of money raised. We understand that the high street banks, building societies, super- markets and large corporations are likely to do match funding, but these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charita- ble giving through match funding too. We have listed overleaf a number of businesses which we believe offer Match Funding. If you work for this organisation or know someone that does we would be really grateful if you could contact us by email on the following address: [email protected]. Match funding is a really easy way to boost the amount of money we raise and really does make a difference for our fundraising activities. If you can help us this way, please do let us know and we can discuss your companies’ requirements. Thank you for your support. PPA Team
