Baskerville (John Baskerville) Origins Baskerville is a serif type face designed by John Baskerville in the mid 1700s in Birmingham, England. Characteristics Many Baskerville typeface characters have clear ball terminals, or a circular form at the end of letter arms. Capital letters in the Baskerville typeface tent to appear very bold. Baskerville characters are describes as rounder and sharper than the typefaces that proceeded it.
Bickham Script Pro was created by Richard Lipton in 1997. Lipton grew up in New York City and attended Harpur College where he studied art and design and was introduced to calligraphy. After graduation, Lipton continued his ongoing education by becoming afreelance calligrapher, sign painter and graphic designer in his studio in the Boston, Mas- sachusetts area; where he eventually created the Bickham Script Pro font. This font is ascript typeface that is based on English round hand writing extremely common in the 18th century. This typeface is ornate, romantic and is available in regular, bold, and semib- old weights. This typeface can often be found on invitations, restaurant logos, packaging, menus and more. J1995 Juice ITC was created by David Sagorski. Sagoriski is originally from Kansas, USA but moved to Florida to study at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He was largely influenced by cartoon graphics of the 1960’s and 1970’s, especially Juice ITC. Juice ITC was released in 1995. It is recognized for it’s “subtle sophistica- tion underneathe the funky exterior”. Sagorski let his creative ability and humor influence his designs. As seen in the cartoon:
