Worshiping From The Heart When does a song become an expression of worship and not simply a melody withwords? Oddly enough there are too many Christians unclear on the step over toworship. There are some interesting passages of scripture that reveal the steps thatchanges a song to become worship and so it is best we let God describe in His ownwords what he sees as worship. Here we see that we should have a respect for God so deep that it is brought tothe place of recognizing his unmatched title. Here we see an expression of the heart that is aware of his unmatched beautymeaning his separated place of Glory that is unmatched by any other being. Here we see the expression of bowing or kneeling in recognition of his greatness.There are many other scriptures that declare the position of the worshiper. The one thingthat all of these have in common and I am attempting to unveil is that worship alwayshas expression and it is always from the heart. There is no wrong way to worship when itis an expression of love for God and toward God. The only wrong way to worship andlimit a song to praise or singing is to distance your heart from his presence or fail todesire to express your honor of him. Worship is the expression of an individuals lovetoward God. There is such a thing as greater worship meaning the desire to express ourlove and thankfulness in a greater way to God. Every Christian should from time to timehave this desire and attempt to get love across in a greater way because they haverecognized God in greater measure.

Drinking From The Right Cup There are far too many of Gods Children that do not understand the communionof God. While loving their savior and believing in Him they do not recognize the workof God that begun at Passover and was carried to completion through His death andresurrection. There are many areas we could focus on in this truth and spend hours ofstudy on each one but I wanted to focus on the communion itself and perhaps bring aclarity of understanding its benefit. Look at this great statement Jesus made concerning the drink: “For the remissionof sin” The word remission in the Greek hear means :1) release from bondage or imprisonment. 2) forgiveness or pardon, of sins (lettingthem go as if they had never been committed), remission of the penalty Jesus hear is stating that He will make an agreement with us for the completeremission of our sin and bondage to its consequences. Why would he make such astatement? How can we be sure that this covenant is for real? Look at another passagethat followed this action or statement from the Lord. You see Jesus did not just give us his cup but He took ours. Our sin and all of itsconsequences into himself. The very word covenant or contract was the agreement ofHis life for ours. Stop drinking from your cup and start drinking from His.

Gods Grace! Look up! There is a hand stretching forth for the help you need. God is in love with his creationand reaches forth his hand at every opportunity to help. So many of Gods children can and would berescued from the struggles that they are facing if they would see the hand of grace that is extendedtoward them. You may be thinking how could God ever love me or forgive me? The answer is verysimple and is found in a familiar passage of scripture. God loves us beyond our ability to fully understand and has given what we call grace. Grace isnot simply an overlooking of your faults or sin but a payment that was made on your behalf. Grace waspurchased through the life of Gods son so that it would be sure to all who would call upon him. Thisgrace is not limited to salvation only but goes far beyond. The word grace itself means: God does not want you sad beaten down and stressed in life. The very word salvation itselfholds the meaning of: The fact of the matter is that many people believe that they must somehow earn theses benefitsfrom God. They spend much of their time in an effort to perform well enough to gain Gods favor for avictory. I have good news for you today! The victory has been won and the blessing is already oursthrough Jesus Christ! The only thing God wants from you and I is genuine faith in him and his love. Ifwe will place our trust in his love and in what Jesus has done through his death we will experiencegrace at its highest level. Please do not just take my word for it because real working faith comes fromtaking Gods word on it.Rom 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, theword of faith, which we preach;Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart thatGod hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Well why wait any longer? Just accept his word rejoice in His work and grace after all that isGods will for your life!
