Caleb was a great man of faith and made great testimony of the Lords keeping power.Caleb was four score and five! That is 85 years of age when he said give me this mountain. He did not simply want them to say okay its your but desired to be a part of the battle to winits victory. In Joshua 14:11 He made these statements.Jos. 14:11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as mystrength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. Caleb new the promise of God but more than that he believed God had provided himthe physical strength to prevail for his victory and its defeat. Now ask yourself do I believe inhow I feel or my age more than Gods promise? I believe we can shift our mind and strengthto take hold of Gods promise trusting that he will bring it to pass. Psalms tells us a truth abouthow we will be able to stand when taking the challenge of entering the high places of Godspromise.Psa. 18:33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places. It was not just Caleb that experienced a faith to take the mountain. David alsoexperienced a truth deep in his life concerning Gods faithfulness to enable him in difficulttask. He not only believed that God would provide his ability to stand, walk and complete hisjourney but that God himself would set him in that place through his assistance. What were the promises or desires of your call that you may have set aside or given upon. After all Caleb had waited 40 years to take his mountain David had run from Saul andescaped many times the added delays of taking the throne that God had anointed him for inhis youth. In 2 Sam. 22 :34 -37 David not only states that God gives him hinds feet but thathe enlarges his steps so that he will not fall. God is able to enlarge your grounds for standingwith him.

We must realize that when God speaks of the word he is speaking ofyour faith, and when God is speaking of faith He is speaking of his word coming forth fromwithin you. Rom 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We can see by this scripture that when you are hearing the word, faith is coming to youor through you. Never the less faith is moving when the word is being moved or activatedthrough reading and speaking. Scripture also tells us that we are to live by this process. Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it iswritten, The just shall live by faith. If God intends for us to live by faith or confession should we not value having a greatrevelation or understanding of this area? I am at this time going to call your attention to anotherverse of scripture declaring that we are to live by faith. Hbr 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shallhave no pleasure in him. Wow! God is not only saying that we are to live by this faith but that he will bedissatisfied with us if we should shrink back from it. He is saying here that we are to not shrinkback from his faith or word of confession. It is impossible to have faith without hearing theword. It is also impossible to use faith without speaking and acting upon that word. You can notshrink back from what you have not moved forward in! Remember faith, and the word, areinterchangeable, and the life or seed of the word of God comes forth with and through sound aswe speak. When we speak what God says in agreement with God it is called profession orconfession. Now that you have made the connection of our living out of the word throughconfession and agreement we can move on to greater understanding. I should say at this pointthat the majority of Christians walking a faith walk are lingering at this level and feeling asthough they are in full revelation of confession and how to apply it. This is not the fullness butonly the foundation of understanding this doctrine of confession and faith.

Healing Helps & Insights Praying The Prayer Of Faith! Praying The Prayer Of Faith! Most Christians are familiar with verse in James that declares: Jam. 5:15 And the prayerof faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, theyshall be forgiven him. But I wonder if they have really taken time to understand the simplicityof what is written here. First of all we have to go back a little to see who it is that is praying thisprayer in reference to this verse.James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them prayover him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he havecommitted sins, they shall be forgiven him. It is an elder that is praying this prayer and I believe many have mistakenly taken this tomean someone who is greater than another. If we would look at what it means to be an elder itwould give some insight to this area. I am going to speak from the ministers point of view onthis having almost 40 years of serving the Lord. An elder from the outside appears to have abetter lifestyle than the individual calling on them. This is true but God is not answering basedon his credibility of character. What the elder knows from experience is Gods love andgoodness not to mention his willingness to forgive us. We know from Gal. 5:6 that faith worksthrough love so for this prayer of faith to work it has to be spoken through Gods love. Secondlythe elder understands that it is Gods word spoken to the circumstances that brings change nottheir great ability in the supernatural. Thirdly they realize that the lifestyle of the individual isnot the issue. The scripture declares all that call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Thisis what happened when the elder was called as a representative of the Lord. So the prayer offaith is a man or woman who knows that God is merciful and good and that Jesus has alreadyforgiven through his life as a sacrifice. They will speak to the sickness in the Lords name as hisrepresentative and command the sickness to depart and for the body to be well. It is God thatwill raise them up in acknowledgement of the prayer and faith not the representative . Godwatches over his word to perform it.Jer. 1:12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word toperform it.Ezk. 12:25 For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass;it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, andwill perform it, saith the Lord GOD.
