June 18, 2023 11:59AM Worship Service Gathering Song Scripture Colossians 1:15-23a One: Christ is the image of the invisible God, All: the firstborn of all creation, One: for in Christ all things in heaven and on earth were created, All: things visible and invisible, One: whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers— All: all things have been created through and for Christ. One: Christ is before all things, and in Christ all things hold together. Christ is the head of the body, the church; All: Christ is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, the One to come to have first place in everything. One: For in Christ all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Christ, God was pleased to reconcile all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of the cross. All: And we who were once estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, are now reconciled in Christ’s fleshly body through death, so as to present us holy and blameless and irreproachable before him, provided that we continue securely established and steadfast in the faith, without shifting from the hope promised by the gospel that we heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven.
