On February 21, 1956, in San Diego, California, Frances Lucille King gave birth to her first blessing; Anthony B. Glenn, affectionately known as “Tony”. Tony was loved and raised, by his loving mother Frances, and dear father David Glenn. While residing in San Diego, California, he received his education within the San Diego Public School System. Tony’s mom was a devout Christian, therefore she instilled a love for God in all her children. The family were faithful members of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and 47th Street COGIC, in San Diego, Ca. After attending Lincoln High School, Tony moved to Long Beach California, where he attended Long Beach City College and worked at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard as an Electrician. Tony was goal-oriented, and a hard worker; committed to performing his best, in whatever job he was tasked with; no job was too arduous or menial. He exhibited humility, commitment and integrity in various areas of employment. His spiritual foundation, goals, ambitions, and gentleman like qualities, impressed upon the heart of Joyce Marie Miles, the two were joined in marriage, May 13, 2000. Tony became a faithful member of New Life in Christ, and was discipled by his pastor Elder E.C. Carson, and 1st Lady Carson. He was an active member of the Men's Department and was always seen supporting the youth and children's department. As Tony grew in faith, his list of goals increased and deepened. With the love and encouragement of his wife and support of his family, Tony enrolled in the Electrical Training Institute, where he received awards for Outstanding Achievement and a Perfect Attendance award for 5 consecutive years, 6 days a week. Tony would pray and read his Bible daily; he could always be found sitting at the dinner table, with his Bible opened. After working several years as an Electrician for SASCO Commercial Builders, he gained employment within the Los Angeles City Sanitation Department. It was through faith and prayer, he continued to excel in becoming a well loved and respected Supervisor for the Sanitation Department. During his employment with the city of Los Angeles, he received several Employee of the Month Awards, (two in one year). Tony loved his coworkers, they were like family. In 2014, Tony and his wife brought a home and moved to Rialto, California, where they became members of St. Paul Family Ministry, under the leadership of Pastor and 1st Lady Phillips. Tony was a man

of great size, with a heart and smile to match. He was always supportive and encouraging and a pleasure to be around. He didn't miss an opportunity to motivate others, and was quick to give compliments. He was dedicated in teaching the trade of electrician and First Aid to his students, never missing a Saturday. No matter how tired he was, and the long drive home, he made a point to visit his mother-in-law, Dorothy Bell. They shared a special bond. Tony loved all of his family. He enjoyed family events; whether it was a church event, birthday celebration, family reunion or an impromptu gathering, he was there. He frequently welcomed guests into his home; hosting boxing parties and holiday events. He wasted no time in getting to know his neighbors. He loved his daughters, and was proud of that fact. He was a patient and active grandfather. He enjoyed restaurant time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed listening and taking to them, and buying them gourmet meals, and an assortment of cakes, pies and ice cream. His favorite thing was giving them riddles to solve and seeing who could spell difficult words. He was greatly admired by his brothers and sisters. His visits to San Diego lit up their day. Tony loved his wife Joyce, often referring to her as “one good looking woman” and “beautiful.” Every August, Tony never failed to splurge on his wife for her birthday, they were often seen dressed alike in coordinating colors and outfits. He had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh and sing, by imitating Nat King Cole’s voice. Although he was often the tallest person in the room, and dressed in creams and whites, his personality, was even more conspicuous. It didn't take long to see a heart of compassion and a life grateful for second chances. Tony leaves to cherish loving memories to his wife Joyce Miles-Glenn, children; Quanda Broughton (Parris), Misha Sanders, and Lakisha Glenn-Holmes; 11 grandchildren; Ryane, Rahall, Parris, Michelle, Myesha, Alisha, Alaysha, Roman, Anthony, Zhania, and Liza. 8 great grandchildren; his siblings; David Glenn, Valerie Kendrick (Michael), Mark Glenn (Rita), Steven Glenn, Rochelle White (David), Rhonda Poston (Thomas), and Rodney McKinney. His uncles Louis King (Barbara) and Glenn King (Carolyn); twin aunts, Claudine and Pauline; close friends; Johnny Palm and David Whitfield; Mother-in-law, Dorothy Bell, God-children, Shanette Morissette and Demitri, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and beloved coworkers. Tony was proceeded in death, by his mother, Frances Sanders, father, David Glenn, and sister Colletta McKinney.
