September 13, 1957 in Tallulah, Louisiana, Betty Jean Jackson was born to Lucinda Walton and Allen Jackson. She was the oldest of nine children, one brother Bernard Gray Jr. preceded her in death. At a young age her family moved to Los Angeles, California. Betty attended 102nd Street Elementary, Markham Jr. High and Jordan High School. Shortly after high school her two sons Rayvon and Jermaine Ross were born. While raising her sons, Betty volunteered at her elementary school 102nd Street and the Sugar Ray Foundation. Betty soon met the man she would date, marry and share the rest of her life with Robin King (Busman, who preceded her in death). To this union no children were born but they became proud God Parents to a beautiful baby girl Keyina Gaston (Peaches) Betty loved being a Mother and Wife, she also had a close bond with her Mother whom she called daily. Betty really enjoyed spending time with all of her family during holidays and birthday parties, especially the kids. She would bake, do arts and crafts, play games and paint with them. Working with and caring for children became her passion. Betty enrolled in Southwest College where she earned her degree in Child Development in which she used to become a Day Care Teacher for 15 plus years. Betty had a happy and loving spirit, she never spoke a cruel word to anyone. On Monday, June 6, 2023, Betty's job here on Earth was done and what a WONDERFUL job it was!
