The Karen and Robert Scott Florida Garden Over the last summer we began construction on a redesign of the Karen and Robert Scott Florida Garden. The new design was created by world-renowned landscape architect and friend of the Garden, Raymond Jungles. The new design creates a more exciting visitor experience and better reflects the diversity of plants that flourish in Florida. New elements will include many beautiful trees and palms that the Garden has rescued from construction sites, oolite rock columns and planters, pools, cascades, and a stream. Raymond’s plan increases the height of the Scott Florida Garden to create stunning vistas across Lake Tupke and Deep Lake. Visitors can linger under the shade of the Pastore Family Palapa to savor the views or meander across the Bergauer Bridge to Lucy’s Landing. From the upper level, visitors will look out across Ed and Judy’s Pavilion Pool planted with native water lilies to the open water of the Collier Enterprises South Wetlands. The Scott Florida Garden combines essential elements of Florida – the rock, plants, and architecture – with exceptional design and craftsmanship to create a truly sublime expression of our beautiful state!
