Venues for Wedding This can be the same Place as the Reception or somewhere completely different. Bear in mind how many people it takes, how far in advance you must book and how close it is to home (or where the bride is going to get ready)? Obviously, if you have a place of worship, and you wish to be married there, contact them to find out if there are restrictions on who they can marry and when.

Celebrant. Choosing a celebrant often depends on where you are getting married. If you are marrying in your local church, then you would usually use your own minister. If you have a member of the family who can take the service, then this must be arranged with your church. Other venues may have a list of possible celebrants and you should arrange to meet with them to find one who is most sympathetic to the type of service you want.

Venue for the Reception Choosing the right venue for your reception depends on many different factors. Do they cater? Do they allow outside caterers in? Type of food provided? Can they provide the alcohol and soft drinks? Number of people they can cater for. Will it look good in the photos and video? Will they decorate the room for you and who provides the decorations? How far it is from the Wedding venue? And, last but not least – The Cost!
