P Estate, New Delhi - 110002 ििं ेि वैश्ववक महामारी मंे नयी आिाओं का िरू ज- सिक्षा क्ातं ि नमस्कार, रा यह मानना है कक शिक्षा की यात्रा जीवन-यात्रा के साथ-साथ ननरंतर िलती रहती है।शिक्षा िाहे औपिाररक मेमाध्यमों से प्राप्त की जाए या अनौपिाररक, वह मनषु ्य के उत्तरोत्तर ववकास में सहभागी बनी रहती है। इस संिभभ मंे दिल्ली के सरकारी ववद्यालयों के परीक्षा पररणामों के बारे मंे घोषणा करते हुए मझु े हादिभक प्रसन्नता हो रही है, कक वपछले वषों की तलु ना मंे इस वषभ एक बार किर हम उपलब्धियों के नए मुकाम तक पहुंिने मंे सिल हुए हैं। बच्िों के उत्तीणभ होने का प्रनतित 12वीं और िसवीं िोनों कक्षाओं में बहे तरीन हुआ है। इसी बात को अगर मैं िसू रे िधिों में, एक नये िरातल पर कहूं तो मैं कह सकता हूं कक सघं षों और िुनौनतयों का िसू रा नाम ही जीवन है। मेरी दृब्ष्ट में उस जीवन का कोई अथभ नहीं होता ब्जसमंे सघं षभ या िुनौनतयां न हों। कोरोना जैसी महामारी के िौर में ववद्यालय की ई-पत्रत्रका \"उब्जतभ ा\" के प्रकािन का जो महत्वपणू भ ननणयभ रा.सह-शिक्षा उच्ितर माध्यशमक ववद्यालय चिल्ला गांव, मयरू ववहार िे स-1 के ववद्यालय प्रमखु और ववद्यालय पररवार ने शलया है, मैं उसका साब्त्वक स्वागत करता हूं। आपका यह किम ननब्चित रूप से एक सकारात्मक ऊजाभ और पररवतनभ न के वल बच्िों में, अध्यापकों मंे, अशभभावकों मंे बब्ल्क समाज के साथ-साथ शिक्षा जगत के अन्य क्षेत्रों मंे भी अवचय लेकर

आएगा,ऐसा मरे ा मानना है। इसके शलए मंै ववद्यालय प्रमखु और ववद्यालय पररवार को अपनी िुभकामनाएं प्रेवषत करता हूं। सिलता और पररवतनभ के इस िौर मंे अब हर बच्िा, शिक्षक और माता-वपता गवभ से कह सकते हैं कक हमारे सरकारी स्कू लों की ब्स्थनत प्राइवटे से बेहतर हुई है। आठ हजार से अचिक कक्षाओं का ननमाणभ पहले ही हो िकु ा है और 12 000 से अचिक ननमाभणािीन हैं। 5 स्कू ल ऑफ़ एक्सलंेस सदहत 25 नए स्कू ल िरु ू ककए हंै। इन सबका नतीजा यह हुआ कक अब दिल्ली सरकार के स्कू लों का बोर्भ की परीक्षा का ररजल्ट 98 प्रनतित से अचिक है। यहां मैं याि दिलाना िाहूंगा कक एक सि यह भी है कक के वल िार साल पहले दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कू लों की ब्स्थनत ऐसी नहीं थी। बडा पररवतनभ लाने के शलए हमने छोटे-छोटे लेककन महत्वपणू भ किमों से िुरुआत की। 'िुनौती शमिन' के माध्यम से हमने अपने बच्िों मंे पढ़ने-शलखने की गुणवत्ता को और बढ़ाने के शलए एक कायकभ ्रम की िुरुआत की। हमने सभी बच्िों के बनु नयािी दहिं ी और गणणत-कौिल पर काम करने के शलए शमिन बनु नयाि लॉन्ि ककया। हमने अपने शिक्षकों, प्रिानािायो को अंतरराष्रीय स्तर का प्रशिक्षण प्रिान ककया। हमने यह सनु नब्चित करने के शलए एक नया हैप्पीनेस कररकु लम भी िरु ू ककया कक हमारे बच्िे अच्छे इंसान बनें। बच्िों में कक्रएदटववटी और कु छ नया करने की ललक ववकशसत करने के शलए, \"आत्रप्रने ्योरशिप माइंर्सेट कररकु लम\" िुरू ककया। इससे वह खुि सक्षम होने के साथ- साथ औरों को भी रोजगार िेने मंे सक्षम बनंेगे। हमारे बच्िों को िेि के संवविान की भावनाओं के अनुसार िेिभक्त बनाने के शलए मुख्यमतं ्री श्री अरवविं के जरीवाल जी ने \"िेिभब्क्त पाठ्यक्रम\" िुरू करने को घोषणा की है। ननयशमत पीटीएम और एसएमसी की बैठकों के माध्यम से बच्िों के माता-वपता अब अपने बच्िों के स्कू ल संिालन की प्रकक्रया में परू ी तरह से िाशमल हैं, इससे बच्िों को बहे तर प्रििनभ करने में मिि शमली है। दिल्ली सरकार, शिक्षा के माध्यम से एक ऐसे समाज का ननमाणभ करना िाह रही है, जहााँ ऑटो िलाने वाले, रेहडी-पटरी वाले, सरु क्षा गार्,भ छोटे व्यापारी और मजिरू का बच्िा भी र्ॉक्टर, इंजीननयर, वकील, अचिकारी बनने की ख़्वादहि रख सके । हमारे बच्िों मंे वह गणु और कौिल हैं कक वे भववष्य मंे दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री, शिक्षा मतं ्री या भारत के प्रिानमंत्री भी बन सकते हं।ै मैं आप सभी को िुभकामनाएं िेता हूं कक आप अपने सभी प्रयासों में सिल हों। दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कू लों के परीक्षा पररणामों ने एक बात तो शसद्ि कर ही िी है,कक साथ शमलकर अगर काम करंे तो हम कु छ भी हाशसल कर सकते हैं, साथ ही मैं कहना िाहूंगा की सिाई और स्वच्छता का यदि हम ध्यान रखेंगे, उचित िरू ी के ननयमों का पालन करेंगे तो हम दिल्ली को जल्िी ही कोरोना मुक्त बना पाएगं ।े (मनीष सििोदिया)

The children of all ages naturally exhibit this dimension of their personality in every aspect of their life. The school adds to flourish this art by way of enriching the experience of the students in unique and formal way and when the school comes with publications like school magazine, it is an opportunity to exhibit the creativity in refined manner. In the above sense, I am immensely pleased to learn that the school is coming up with its e- magazine publication. The school Bi-Monthly e-magazine not only gives an opportunity to the students but also reflects the activities and ventures taken by the school within its premises and on the outside of the school boundaries. The students and faculties who have been a part of the events cherish and relive the moments of pride by way of e-magazine. This medium of expression gives me one of the rare opportunities to speak directly to my extended family of students and Teachers of District East. I urge all the to extract as much as they can from their Teachers and request the Teachers to leave no stone unturned in shaping the lives of their students in the best interest of them, the society and the human kind in general. Co. Ed. SSS, Chilla Village, Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Extension, Delhi. This e-magazine URJITA encompasses the experiences of students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders during these trying times caused by the CoViD-19 pandemic. Notwithstanding the constraints and odds imposed by the pandemic, the innate endowments of students’ experiences have been exhibited during the online conduct of International Yoga Day, happiness activities & Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum (EMC) activities. Moreover, the Hunger Relief Centres and Online Classes run by the School have also been given a place in the magazine. The achievements in CBSE Results for Classes X and XII have been mentioned too. I extend my cordial congratulations and felicitations to all stakeholders for this e-magazine, most of all the students. The proactive approach of Dr. Ajay Kumar, HoS, Govt. Co. Ed. SSS, Chilla Village, Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Extension, Delhi in giving shape to this e-magazine is praiseworthy. MESSAGE FROM THE H.O.S Promoting the spirit of love, concern and sacrifice among the students, teachers and community during Corona Times Dr. Ajay Kumar (H.O.S) Dear parents, students and staff, India and its people are the living example of progress for thousands of years to the world. For generations, we have taken pride in our pluralistic culture and its multi-cultural diversity, which has stood the test of time and given India a unique place in the community of nations. We have been proud of its legacy despite India’s myriad and complex problems. Someone has said “The foundation of every nation is the education of its youth”, the children of India who are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow alone can raise our hopes. They are the real strength of our country. So grooming of the young to become efficient, skillful, successful and worthy citizens of the country which is the dream of every parent as well a every educational institution can only be achieved by the cooperation of all concerned, the need is felt aware of the true discipline of life. The radiance of such mind embarked on constructive endeavor alone can bring peace, prosperity and happiness to India. As an educationist I would like to indicate the important aspect of education-that discipline doesn’t break a child’s spirit but lack of it can break a parents heart and later lead to destruction of the nation. True discipline teaches us to become true human beings. It guides us to look forward to a future generation not focusing on their own achievements and material wealth, but those striving for human excellence and service, effectively using their God given talents for the building a better tomorrow. I can say that we cannot bring the kingdom of God in to the world until we bring it into our own hearts first. FROM THE EDITOR In the words of John Ruskin,” Teaching is Painful, Continual and Difficult work to be done by kindness, by watching , by warning, by precept and by praise but above all by example.” In today’s world, solutions to global problems will require more than scientific ingenuity more responsibility and compassion must balance the increase of knowledge. When we look at the socio- cultural and political dimensions of our country, we are faced with dark realities. All around we see corruption at all levels, oppression of the poor and the under-privileged and social injustice. At Govt. Co-Ed. Sr.Sec. Chilla Village School Mayur Vihar Phase-1 Ext. holistic education is imparted with the view of instilling in young impressionable minds that the fundamental principle governing human relationships is the oneness of human kind; the belief that all human beings are equal. This holistic education gives ample opportunity to the student to have a scientific temper, critical thinking and above all the maturity to balance. Education is power and power should be a source of service. Holistic education is imparting the essence of this meaningful concept of education. Students are taught to move from their self-centered existence to co-existence, from conformation to interaction, from alienation to collaboration. In the words of former American President Jimmy Carter, “we become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. Different people, different beliefs, different yearnings, different hopes and different dreams.” I remember, my father once taught me- “God didn’t promise that All of your dreams will come true, But he did promise that It is possible to reach them” I don’t think these lines need any explanation, now I can say that ‘URJITA-2020’ is a port royal of the schools journey throughout the year – A window to the achievements of the school- both academic and co-curricular with special focus on all round development of the students. These lines of Robert Frost have inspired one and all especially during lockdown period. Covid 19 has brought in such testing times which could not be antici- pated.Complete shutdown of schools,with teachers and students con- fined to their homes,threw a plethora of challenges in front of entire education community.How can the learning be ensured without af- fecting lives of children?When survival itself became difficult, reaching out to students and motivating them to learn became an uphill task. Teachers embraced this situation with a positive mindset and con- verted it into opportunity.A new dimension of E learning opened up.All of us geared up to learn usage of different online Apps to con- duct meetings and take online classes. WhatsApp group bridged the gap between teachers and students.Teachers also used their creativity to come up with YouTube videos,Audios, PPTs,PDFs , worksheets and variety of other techniques like creating Google forms,quizzes or E assignments to collect and analyse data. Not only this, teachers also rendered their services in Food distribu- tion,Book distribution or any other work assigned by the department without any grudge or complaints. I take this opportunity to appreciate Dr Ajay Kumar, HOS and Mrs Anita Chauhan, vice principal, for working tirelessly and setting exam- ple like true leaders. I would also like to congratulate them for this excellent endeavour to bring out the creativity of teachers and students through this E maga- zine.This would not only provide platform to students to express their thoughts,but also help to uplift their spirits by keeping them engaged and stay connected to school. My best wishes to the entire staff and all the lovely students of this school who have responded so well and emerged stronger. Objectives Of NCC In India NCC works to fulfill the requirements expected in the latest socio- economic scenario in India. The organization aims at development of character, discipline, comradeship, secular outlook, ideals of selfless services and adventure spirits amongst large numbers of young citizens. NCC aims to create a pool of trained, organized and motivated youth with various leadership qualities in every walk of their live and serve the Nation irrespective of career they choose. National Cadets Corps also provide a sound environment conductive towards motivating large numbers of young people of India to join armed forces. By 2020, India's population is expected to become the world's youngest; more than 500 million Indian citizens will be under 25 years of age and more than two thirds of the population will be eligible to work. This means that a growing number of India's youth need the right educational infrastructure to develop skills and adequate opportunities to get employed or become entrepreneurs. However, the wide gap between those who have access to education and skill development opportunities and those who do not, is a challenge that has to be overcome. Challenges In Youth Empowerment India is a country with innumerable diversities, an entity composed of many communities’ races, classes, languages and sub cultures. In any such nation, there are many obstacles to achievement of national collaboration. In India, various hindrances are obstructing the growth of national feeling, viz. casteism, communalism, linguistic fanaticism, social disparity, economics inequalities and immorality, regionalism etc. India is a land of various races, various religious and various languages. Still then, the Indian developed into one nation by the influence of common territory, common history and common fight for freedom against the foreign rule. The Youth of a national are the backbone and the most powerful force within the nation. They are the hope of the future and can shape the destiny of a country. History shows that countries subjected to alien rake have without exception sought the help of youth in times of crisis. The youth have also been instrumental in the change of governments, whenever need for such a change has been felt. They have always been in the forefront in the building of political, social and economic orders of a society. They play a positive role for the cause of nation and national integration. Today’s generation faces greater challenges in national building due to the force and pressure of internal politics and conflicts. Country appreciated the role of National Cadet Corps (NCC) in youth empowerment and also appreciated its commitment in grooming of future leaders of the country. Highlighting the immense contribution of National Cadet Corps, that it is the foremost organization engaged in youth empowerment, promoting unique mix of scholastic education and multifaceted activities enabling all round development of young generation in the country. We feel proud on youth of National Cadet Corps having entered “Limca book of records” for largest yoga performance by 9.5 lakh cadets at multiple venues on international day of yoga. The major contribution of youth in such different camps like, mountaineering, trekking, expedition, national integration camp and the most valuable camp is Republic day camp. “The Republic Day Camp” is being attended by 2069 cadets including 695 girls cadets specially selected from 17 directorates covering all the states and union territories and 71 foreign cadets from six friendly foreign countries under the NCC Youth Exchange Programme. As we can see girls are also contribute for Nation. NCC creates awareness amongst youth about the diverse heritage of our country and fosters national integration despite linguistic, culture, religious and geographical barriers. It helps cadet gain experience to live together co-operate with each other and work in harmony with cadets of other states whom they have not known before, thus helping in strengthening unity as under *Ethics and Social Values *Cultural and Traditional Values *Discipline and Patriotism * Castesim

*Communalism *Linguistic Fanaticism *Regionalism *Economics Inequality In NCC several activities arrange for youth. Who boost their talents and uplift the social and moral values. Youth Exchange Programme (YEP). Selected NCC cadets participate in Youth Exchange Programme which is a country to country exchange of cadets belonging to NCC/ equivalent Govt. youth organizations of friendly countries. They participate in NCC activities of the host country to create an increased awareness and appreciation of each other’s socio-economic and cultural realities. NCC has a vibrantYEP with 11 countries. The benefits of this programme have been widely acknowledged. Our cadets share a strong bond with our YEP partners. As of now more than 100 cadets proceed abroad on YEP annually. Balancing peer participation striking a balance between developing youth empowerment and project control is difficult to achieve. Young people should feel they have a level of ownership in programs; however there still may be the need for adult involvement (e.g. considering young people’s opinions before making decisions, or allowing peer supporters choose the areas they wish to work in). It is determining the level of participation that can create challenges. Having the idea that young people will automatically be empowered through their involvement in peer based programs would be mistaken. Empowerment may take time, training and investment and ongoing adult support. There is some debate as to how ‘real’ the process of empowerment is with many programs still having a large degree of involvement by adults who often direct the process with the potential of using young people to progress other agendas. One of the aims of peer-based programs for young people is to utilize what is known about existing social networks and use this knowledge to enhance health and wellbeing. There are some concerns however as to whether the processes used in projects are transparent, focused on empowerment, trust and practices that aren’t discriminatory example for young people. Other concerns raised include the level of youth ownership of projects, to what level project coordinators and staff work alongside rather than in a top down manner with young people, whose agendas are best served by such interventions and whether what is good for health as defined by adult generations is necessarily appropriate or relevant for the younger sectors of society. Youth empowerment is a process where children and young people are encouraged to take charge of their lives. They do this by addressing their situation and then take action in order to improve their access to resources and transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes. Youth empowerment aims to improve quality of life. Youth empowerment is achieved through participation in youth empowerment programs. However scholars argue that children’s rights implementation should go beyond learning about formal rights and procedures to give birth to a concrete experience of rights. There are numerous models that youth empowerment programs use that help youth achieve empowerment. A variety of youth empowerment initiatives are underway around the world. These programs can be through non-profit organizations, government organizations, schools or private organizations. Youth empowerment is different than youth development because development is centered on developing individuals, while empowerment is focused on creating greater community change relies on the development of individual capacity. Volume 1, Issue 1 The Lockdown due to the prevailing pandemic started on 25 Newsletter Date March 2020. Initially it was declared for 21 days, everything seemed to come at a standstill. A life we had never imagined, a S HWE TA BATRA, TGT (SOCIAL SCIENCE ) life we had never lived. Cinema complexes, places of worship, parks, entertainment zones, shops, schools, college, Railways, Lockdown, not breakdown Metro everything came to a close. Our Daily routine of rushing to work, completing task and achieving deadlines came to a sudden halt. Initial few days it seemed like a good break, then the claustro- phobia stared peeping in because we had never spent 24x7 in our houses. We were always on the move whether it was going to work or going on holidays or just a visit to a mall. The complete lock down was New to our body, mind and soul but we never gave up because it was lock down, not a break down. We got up and explored ourselves, found new ways of doing things. Schools turned into online classes, shopping mall turned in to online shopping, you tube and google became our master trainer. A new family life emerged Ludo, carrom, business, monopoly, chess, cards etc. which were hiding under the dust now came up again and the family enjoyed this time. Everybody in home came together and spent quality time together, everybody got a chance to explore their interest and creative side. People cooked and baked new dishes together. Nature got a chance to revive. Air quality improved, sound pollu- tion decreased, water bodies became cleaner and that to without human intervention, lakhs and crore of rupees have been spent on river cleaning projects but always failed but this time without spending a single rupee the river water became pure and FIT TO DRINK. Animals and birds also got a chance to explore the cities. First time animals living in the wild were spotted in the city like deer and Nil Gai. New birds were also spotted at many places. Till now we have the knowledge of varied symptoms of coronavirus such as cough, high fever,loss of smell,etc but since few days back, a new symptom a Happy Hypoxia is knocking the door of the human civilization. What is Happy Hypoxia? How can it be fatal? This is one of the shocking symptom of covid-19 virus as was stated by WHO and even by Dr. Galleria of AIIMS in which the patients seems perfectly,healthy and normal.Such person are mostly asymptomatic and they don't feel any uneasiness or discomfort while walking.
