Organization Announcement-VCM- BLR & HYD Situation: VCM team wanted to announce their new supervisors and managers who have joined VCM India and I was asked to create an email template for the same. Behavior: I received the pictures and their inputs in multiple documents with their current role, experience and education and I made a draft with the pictures and information in a perfect alignment using the Illustrator tool and cropped the pictures using the Photoshop tool as to make all the pictures look uniform in the template. However, they were few additions in the line of making the whole information into one unit and they were few additions and deletions and got along pretty well with the whole content. Impact: I received a good feedback from the requester Ravi-VCM Manager. Mainly I was appreciated for the bias for actions and readyto act on it as I got the information and making iterations without a lag and submitted the work with thequality as requested.Weekly RNR Announcment emailsSituation: Ritesh-Manager from VCM team wanted to announce their R&Rwinners of the week with predetermined goals and metrics.Behavior: As I’ve worked on similar designs earlier, I was given thisopportunity to design the email announcement to send it over to largeraudience. I designed in a particular format Highlighting the metrics, number and groups with basic typography and not to deviate from thewhole concept with little variations in color and element sizes using AdobeIllustrator.Impact: As it was standing out with the elements, colors and designs Ireceived a good feedback and I was able to complete it in one go. So it waspurely customer obsession which drove to do all at once. RNR Monthly report Situation: To create a template for Monthly RNR with blank template with resizable picture frames and text boxes with different alignment requested by Ambika-Supervisor. Behavior: I quickly got an idea to create a template which is simple and user-friendly to any team with sample slides with different frame sizes and sets which can be used as per their need and it came up really well and the challenge was where to use them, so i made it as slides for PPT and voila used them as templates instead. I included the slides and the pictures at the same time in Adobe illustrator and powerpoint to built it with samples for easy usage.Impact: It was to learn new thing and implement in a simpler way, so it was learn and becurious and inventand simply at the same time. I received a good feedback for the same from Ambika. 5
Amazon Corporate Security Brochure-Seattle Situation: I received an email from one of Corporate Facility vendor de- partment from Ayan Abdilahi-Sec Education and Policy Aware, Seattle to create a brochure for their Corporate Security team. Behavior: As on the time of request, I had little knowledge on creating brochure, So I researched on getting the brochure right. I learned this new tool-Adobe Indesign which is mainly on creating brochures, magazines, newsletters and Online books. I learned few tips to complete the project in couple of days and I did extremely well with the outcome. Impact: It is Learning and becurious and also bias for action as I had a deadline to complete it with no review and adding a stamp-style logo on it as well. I received a good feedback. Creating Coffee mug and badge designs Situation: This request is from Aman-Supervisor to create the icons for coffee mugs and badges for the team appreciation. Behavior: As I was good with logos and creating coffee mug designs which I did for last year’s Post peak party, I was able to design them without any trouble in the Adobe Illustrator tool, it includes marvel super heroes mostly, but I had to dive deep to create other icons which were not related to Marvel or superheroes as a concept. Impact: Dive deep is the principle which I can relate to this work, as it includes various elements, colors and typography to create these icons as to implicate the look and feel of a coffee mug or the badge which an Associate would earn it as a token of appreciation. Do’s and Don’t of Retail TTs Situation: This is from Aman- Supervisor requested to create a flyer which can be used to print and send it as an email to the floor. Behavior: As it was for both print and publish, I came up with an idea to make it printable size-A4 which is available with us also can be sent across as an email without any trouble. Also to make things better, I sent the copy as an email body to the requester as it can be sent to floor as is. Impact: I would say frugality as it would have cost more, if I had to design it in any other paper size which is not available at our copier also customer obsession as I sent the image as email body instead of attachment as it helps the requester sent it as is. Case-study Presentation Situation: It is from Aman-Supervisor to create a presentation Behavior: As we use mostly powerpoint to use it on a projector I cre- ated a template and imported it from Ai to Powerpoint as slides Impact: It was bias for action, as it was an adhoc request but it delivered results too.6
Case Handling Ettiquettes MailerSituation: To create a mailer for case handling ettiquettes requested by Aman-Supervisor.Behavior: I created a lot of Do’s and Don’ts posters lately, so I’ve some ready-madetemplates which I can use for these kind of projects, I created this in Adobe illustratorwith distinguishing colors as Green for DO and Red for DONT.Impact: It is Invent and Simplify to create templates based on the request patternsand keep them ready for the upcoming ones.Phone tool Icon RequestSituation: To create a phone tool icon for Brand registry and Safe team by Chenna-Manager.Behavior: I created with simple and effective colors to fit in the Idea of earning one as a phone tool icon.Impact: It is Invent and Simplify to create phone tool icons with a accurate dimensions which will automaticallyadjust to the phone tool dimensions while upload. Valentine’s Day Dress Code Poster Situation: To create a theme dressing poster requested by Chenna- Manager. Behavior: In the event of Valentine’s day Chenna wanted me to create a poster with a theme of red and black, so I found some free stock templates with these two colors which I can import and create the poster. I used comic font to make it look more fun full as the concept also need to show that it need to convey the funevents on the day as well.Impact: It is invent and simplify and customer obsession to show case each and every aspect in detail to presentthe work in a innovative and interesting way.Phone tool Icon request from Italy CSIT department- Tiddia Marco-CS ITTeam ManagerSituation: It was a request from Italy tocreate a phone tool icon from Tiddia Marco-CS Manager with a title-Bodyguard.Behavior: I created it with a simple bodyguard icon and the title with bold font with three elements which wereadded later which represents-Email, phone and chat.Impact: It was submitted way before the deadline also with additions to the logo I got a good recognition withthe art work as it was the first of a kind working for a different department overseas. it explains Insist on higherstandards and customer obsession. 7
HYD-R&R Phone tool icon Situation: To create a phone tool icon for Seller Support HYD R&R team requested by Santosh Nadar-Quality Analyst Behavior: It is to show that someone is holding a trophy for Rewards and recognition as an appreciation for the Seller Support-Hyd department, So I used Peccy- Amazon peculiar for the design holding the trophy, it was finalized with other two designs so giving options was a best idea for the requester to choose. Impact: It is customer obsession to create multiple designs in first place and improve the one selected. I received good feedback from Santosh-Quality Analyst SESU HYD Peak Organizer 2016 Situation: To create a phone tool icon for Peak Organizers for last year’s peak-2016 was requested by Ritesh-Manager. Behavior: I designed it with few elements such as an organizer or a person pointing at a graph representing peak and it is steadily increasing which makes the organizers job to make it higher and it did, so to recognize the efforts of the team behind running the Peak contents where awarded this icons, including me. Also it has some confetti in the background which defines fun during the peak too. Impact: It is customer obsession and an the eye to detail which brings in Dive deep principle for creating the phone tool icon. Job Promotion Template Situation: To create a template to announce the Job promotion of Associate advisors and Supervisors of Hyd-SESU was requested by Jagan. Behavior: The subject of the design is to congratulate someone on their promotion so I created a background with some confetti and used Amazon Ember color and with an outline of two people shaking hands. It was the best and simple design without taking any extra space in the design. Also to make it easy I imported the design into a slide as it’s background for ppt to help the requester just to type-in the names and send it to floor. Impact: It is customer obsession to create the design and also import it onto a ppt slide with a text box just to help the requester to type-in and send it over as an email. Also I created other templates as well, but Jagan liked this a lot. Ticket Requirements poster Situation: To create a poster for T4 team requested by Unati- Supervisor. Behavior: It is to display the content in a more effective way, I’ve created the design with vibrant colors and few important points. Impact: It is ownership and customer obsession as I was with T4 team before while I took ownership of helping in reviewing the points and was able to connect the design with the content effectively8
HMD Yes’s in One Week-Template Situation: It was a request from Bangalore-SESU from Sharon- Supervisor to create a template which can be used to announce the Winners for Maximum number of Yeses. Behavior: As it should be a generic template where the requester can use it as many times as possible, so I created a template with movable units which I designed each and every element seperately and imported onto PPT and placed them as a set to move and change accordingly and also included samples to make the requester understand what I was trying to convey the use of the ppt. Impact: I would say, it is Insist on higher standards as it was in a way building a concept with just an idea and meeting all the standards of designs and also implementing them in a simple way at the same time. It adds up Invent and simplify too.HMD Yes’s winners of the week-posterSituation: It was a request from Bangalore-SESU fromSharon-Supervisor to create a mailer to send it to largeraudience in and around SESU-BLR.Behavior: It is to announce the winners of HMD yes’s ofweekly winners and also mentioning that a phone toolicon would be awarded with the variants of 4 weeks ina row and 8 weeks in a row. I took the idea of providingthe phone tool icon in the mailer as it should be selfexplanatory with the image along with the contentdescribing the same. This was done on Adobe Illustratorand photoshop.Impact: It is Invent and simplify as the design speaks foritself. HMD Yes’s winner-Phone tool icons Situation: It was a request from Bangalore-SESU from Sharon-Supervisor to create phone tool icons for HMD yes program. Behavior: I created the icons based on previous HMD yes program and as I was not provided with the icon used previously, I’ve redone the Lion icon myself in different colors representing the number if weeks the winners are, also included weeks as +4 and +8 to make it more evident. Impact: It is customer obsession to redo entire design without past icon image and bias for action because, I submitted them even before the announcement as the phone tool icons needed to be approved. 9
Resolve Rate Icon Situation: It was a request from Garry-Manager to create a resolve rate icon which can be used as phone tool or badge or on a template as a logo. Behavior: This was about creating a design which conveys that you are meeting your targer upon involving right amount work to acheive it, so I came up with a gear icon which represents work and the shake-hand which represents ‘congratulations‘ as it is awarded to people who strive for it. Impact: It is dive deep and deliver results. Dive deep because I had to foresee the results to create an icon which defines one, and deliver results because it had two other icons designed before this weren’t selected as this was more appropriate and right to the point which the requester was looking for. Resolve Rate Champions Announcement Situation: It was a request from Garry-Manager to create a resolve rate Champions Announcement and PPT Behavior: Initially, I created one based on the data which I received and I thought of INFOGRAPHICS which I learned while I was designing last year’s N-gage and Inspire posters. I implemented circular graphs to represent the goals and the picture of the winner in the center, it was an innovative way to include picture and the goals right in the same spot. Also at first I found one of the winner having his picture black and white, so it became a trend after that to make the colored pictures as well to balck and white to make it more interesting. Also later as it was for every week, I created a powerpoint presentation on this for user-friendly editing of content. Impact: Are right a lot, as I made a judgement here to create the design in an Infographic and also including all the elements in the right place for sending the metrics in a desired way. Think big because I had to make it for every week so I created a template for future use as well. Open Office Hours-Changes Situation: It was a request from Latha-Executive Assistant SESU hyd, to make changes to the content and submit for printing. Behavior: I created this last year in Adobe Photoshop and I never used it after that, so when this request came in, I could have use it to make it back in photoshop instead I imported it onto another tool which is Adobe Illustrator and make corrections as mentioned in her email. Impact: Customer Obsession, as I made corrections in a new tool because it helps improve the design quality to share and also reduces the size of the image when compared to photoshop file which adds up-Invent and Simplify.10
Seller Support Lanyards-2017Situation: It was the time to change the lanyards for Seller Support as I created the first lanyard for Seller Supportback in 2015. This request came from Latha-Executive Assistant at Hyd SESU as the training team/New hiresaren’t having lanyards.Behavior: It is a new thing for the new hires, So I wanted to make it special. So I created three designs on thelines of using the old design to include silhouette of Charminar as letter ‘H’ in Hyderabad and it gained a lot ofattentionsand out of these three black one was selected by Jagan-Site Leader.Impact: It is customer obsession to create multiple options to choose the one which would go this time and alsoInvent and simplify as the elements of designs remained same only the background and font was changed tomake it more elegant. Do’s and Don’ts-FBR binchecks Situation: It was a request from Maheep-NA Regional Manager and it was first time working with him. Behavior: As I was good with the Do’s and Don’ts I created a template with a partition and designed the first design and sent it over. Well, it was really appreciated by him for quick turn-around and later added some more information and made some corrections to the design but the whole content wasn’t fitting perfectly in the layout. So, I made all the corrections and removed some redundant information and made a list before making a final draft and once it was done, I asked Maheep to review and create the final design as I had to change all the parameters. As I got the approval, I created the final design and made it with no turn backs. Impact: Are right a lot, sometimes your judgement may not suffice the needs of the data which you have input, but it is always a learning. So Learning andbecurious made the final draft before designing the whole new design for the information.Certificate for Partner’s Forum-SeattleSituation: It was a request from Maheep-NA RegionalManager to create a Certificate for Partner’s forum.Behavior: It was an adhoc request from Maheep but asI working on his former project on Partner’s meetingforum, I was able to relate and create one at the earliest.I used simple elements in the design which makes itstandout and very much new and vibrant at the sametime.Impact: Bias for action as it was created in a short noticeand as I was already working on the presentation for the Partner’s forum, I wanted this to be done tomake my work complete as it implies-Deliver results. 11
Partner’s Forum Invitation-Seattle Situation: It was a request from Maheep-NA Regional Manager to create Invitation for Partner’s forum 2017. Behavior: The design need to be vibrant and at the same time informative, So I created with vibrant background but at the same time used single font throught the design to make it fuller and uniform. Impact: Insist on Highest Standards, It needs uniformity in design and creativity at the same time without compromising the other facts, So I made my best to deliver the results with good quality and accuracy. Partner’s Forum Presentation-Seattle Situation: It was a request from Maheep-NA Regional Manager to create template for Partner’s forum 2017. Behavior: Maheep wanted something new and refreshing with the slides of partner’s forum, as he can replace the existing presentation which he has. So, I created new designs for each title and I had to keep in mind that all these templates should be of less design but more appealing elements. I used very few colors to create the design as subtle as possible because it should blend with the content. Impact: Dive deep, I’ve gone through the previous presentation thoroughly to understand all the elements which were used, so I added up new things to make it more appealing.Partner’s Forum Agenda-Seattle TIME TOPIC OBJECTIVE FACILITATOR Meera/Situation: It was a request from Maheep-NA Regional Manager to 12 -12:20 pm Welcome + Getting to know one another Veenacreate Agenda for Partner’s forum 2017. Red Carpet Event-HR Team Situation: It was a request from Pooja from HR team to create a flex for an upcoming event. Behavior: As I had some previous knowledge on creating this type of flex I created it with ease, as I did it for 2016’s post peak party. Anyways, I had to design all the elements of the design two words: Paparazzi and Red carpet. I used these two to create with good combination of colors to balance the whole flex and also making sure that the dimensions are good enough to cover up the flex entirely. Impact: Customer obsession, as I had tocontrol the final outcome as to be as expected by the requester without loosing the quality of the image so it startsfrom the time I start making the measurements of the flex to single design which goes in for multiple times.Campus Update 2017-HR Team 26Situation: It was a request from Pooja-HR to create an Infographic with all the LOCATIONSinformation in one poster.Behavior: I created all four designs seperately and later made them into one. 661First piece has a lot of information which was provided to me as text which Itransformed it into design without losing any detail in it. COLLEGESImpact: Insist on Highest Standards, It needed all information at one place withmore design and less text also it makes the viewer to understand it better visually 112than reading the whole information in a text format. Associate Idea Program Kiosk-BLR site Situation: It was a request from Sharon-Supervisor BLR Sesu team to create flex for AIP kiosk. Behavior: I created the design with the AIP logo which was edited in Illustrator for better quality and added few elements as a light bulb to make it more realistic to the program and also the logo represents the same so used similar concept to highlight the Idea program. Impact: Invent and Simplify, as to represent the information in a simple and effective way at the same time I chose elements which can go well on a huge flex which can be used as a kiosk. Endeavour-Poster Situation: It was a request from Sharon-Supervisor BLR Sesu team to create a poster on the lines of ‘Endeavour‘. Behavior: This was a teaser for a program to encourage the associates to participate in it and I had to use the idea as to create a long shadow effect with different colors to make it more enthusiastic. Impact: It is design on the basis of customer obsession as to build in enthusiasm for the viewer and help him involve himself in the program Endeavour program certificate Situation: It was a request from Sharon-Supervisor BLR Sesu team to create a certifcate for the program- ‘Endeavour‘. Behavior: As it is to appreciate the efforts of the associate’s hard work, I created this certificate with the elements using the Endeavour logo and few design elements as it fits in PPT as well with the editable text box which is easy for print and email. Impact: Bias for action as it was an adhoc request even before the program was on its way so I created this first as it takes time for the other process of printing and lamination. Endeavour-Phone tool icons Situation: It was a request from Sharon-Supervisor BLR Sesu team to create phone tool icons for program ‘Endeavour‘. Behavior: Created the phone tool icons based on the program and title, it was made in Illustrator tool.
