1.NOUN (คาํ นาม)

Noun (ตวั ยอ่ n.) คือคําทีใช้เรยี กคน สัตว์ สงิ ของ สถานที กจิ กรรม เหตกุ ารณ์ หรือสงิ ทีเปนนามธรรม อย่างเช่น ความสขุ

ยกตวั อย่าง noun ชอื คน ชือสตั ว์ ชอื สถานที – Justin, Garfield, Bangkok, Mahidol University คน สัตว์ สงิ ของ สถานที กิจกรรม เหตกุ ารณ์ – woman, cat, pencil, hotel, tennis, wedding สิงทีเปนนามธรรม – idea, happiness, danger, relationship

ตวั อยา่ ง Ex. Bangkok is the capital of Thailand. Ex. I live in this house for more than 20 years.

2.PRONOUN (คาํ สรรพนาม)

Pronoun คอื คาํ ทีใชแ้ ทน noun อยา่ งเช่น I, you, he, she, it, we, they

ตัวอย่าง Ex. Jack is Australian, he is a very handsome guy. Ex. You should read this book as it explains a lot of interesting topics you are interested in.

3.VERB (คํากรยิ า)

verb (ตวั ยอ่ v.) คือคําทีใชแ้ สดงการกระทาํ สิงทเี กิดขนึ หรือสภาวะ เชน่ eat, feel, is, am, are

ตวั อยา่ ง Ex. I like to meet new people Ex. She is one of a kind, very interesting person.

4.ADJECTIVE (คาํ คณุ ศพั ท)

adjective (ตัวย่อ adj.) คอื คาํ ทที ําหนา้ ทีขยาย noun หรอื pronoun อยา่ งเช่นคาํ วา่ big, good, rich, slow

ตวั อย่าง Ex. April is the hottest month of the year in Thailand. Ex. This is very beautiful shoes.

5.ADVERB (คาํ กรยิ าวิเศษณ)

adverb (ตัวยอ่ adv.) เปนคําทใี ชข้ ยายกริยา เพือให้เขา้ ใจถงึ อาการของการกระทํานันๆ ได้ชดั เจนมากขนึ เชน่ quickly / very / really / badly / silently มกั จะลงท้ายด้วย -ly แต่คาํ ทีไม่ลงท้ายดว้ ย -ly กม็ ี

ตัวอย่าง Ex. I eat very quickly when I’m hungry. Ex. You eat quickly!

6.PREPOSITION (คาํ บพุ บท)

Preposition (ตัวย่อ prep.) เปนคําทใี ชเ้ ชือมคํานาม หรือ สรรพนามตา่ งๆ เข้าไวด้ ว้ ยกัน และ ทําใหร้ ปู ประโยคสมบูรณ์ยงิ ขึน เช่น before / after / above / under / with / without

ตวั อยา่ ง Ex. You come here before me. Ex. I placed a plate on the table.

7.CONJUNCTION (คาํ เช่อื ม)

Conjunction (ตวั ย่อ conj.) คอื คาํ ทีใชเ้ ชือมคํา กล่มุ คาํ หรือวลตี า่ งๆ เขา้ ดว้ ยกัน และมกั จะใช้ เชอื มคาํ ชนิดเดียวกนั เชน่ and / or / so / but

ตัวอย่าง Ex. You and I make a great couple. Ex. I don’t want anything but you.

8.INTERJECTION (คาํ อทุ าน)

Interjection (ตัวยอ่ interj.) คือคําสันๆทใี ชแ้ สดงอารมณ์ เช่น oh, hey, ouch, wow ถา้ เทียบกบั คําไทยก็เช่น โอ้โห โอ๊ย ปดโธ่ เปนต้น

ตัวอยา่ ง Ex. Ouch! This is really hurts! Ex. Oh noooo, please don’t do that again.
