Since Hazen High School opened its doors in 1968, it hasbeen extremely well supported by the surrounding community and Renton School District. Your presence atour football games is a continuance of that awesome tradition of support that Hazen students benefit fromevery day.The Hazen Football team is built on a Mission Statement that values integrity, commitment and enthusiasmfor the game. The mission guides these players to be students and athletes, performing to their highest po-tential in the classroom and on the field. As you watch the game, know that every single player is striving tofill both their academic and athletic goals. They are focused, prepared, and ready for competition!In addition to the great football you will watch tonight, you will experience the long standing positive schoolclimate that Hazen has to offer. The Highlander school culture is evident when watching the cheerleaders,drill team, school band, ASB and Leadership students, athletic trainers and teachers and coaches that leadthese teams and organizations. Our community takes great pride in the efforts of these students and staffmembers and has gratitude for their commitment to promoting Highlander sportsmanship.It’s extremely important to me to thank our Football and Marching Band Booster parents. Both groups havedonated countless hours to fundraising for their perspective programs, ensuring that Hazen students havethe best equipment, uniforms, and practice opportunities possible. I truly appreciate the time and effortparents of the Booster Organizations have contributed to supporting Hazen athletics and activities.
