History Of School Prizes The Noel Winter Personal Achievement Award (Gift of The Redlanders) First awarded 2004 Noel Winter (1923-2003) commenced working at Redlands in 1982 and retired in 2000 after eighteen years of loyal service to the school. On his retirement he was presented with a special Redlands Trustee Medal by the Chairman of the Board. This was in recognition of his years of trusted service and high quality leadership. Throughout the school community Noel Winter was acknowledged for his work for others. This award is presented to a student not otherwise recognised, who displays compassionate initiative. The Janet Wright Prize for Ancient History HSC (Endowed by The Redlanders) First Awarded 2005 Janet Wright (Redlander 1965) was not only an accomplished historian while at school but she remained a strong supporter of Redlands and of The Redlanders, being President of The Redlanders and of the School Canteen. Her children Callum (1997) and Felicity (2002) were both educated at Redlands. This prize is endowed by the Redlanders in recognition of the outstanding contribution Janet made to the school throughout. It is awarded for excellence in Ancient History in Year 12 HSC. 24
