Exercise 1: Timed Motor• Create a program in the Scratch 1.4 software to allow the Orangutan to move forward for only 6 seconds.• Press the “space” key on the keyboard to see the Orangutan in action. Any unauthorized reprint or use of this material is prohibited.

Exercise 2: Tilt Sensor (Remote Control)• Create a program to make use of the tilt sensor to function as a remote control for the Orangutan. – When the tilt sensor is tilted downwards (1), the motor power will be at 100. – When the tilt sensor is tilted upwards (3), the motor power will decrease to 70 and move in the opposite direction. – When the tilt sensor is tilted left (2), the motor power will decrease further to 40. – When the tilt sensor is tilted right (4), the Orangutan will stop moving.• The sample programming can be found on the next page.
