2020 ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT Multimedia Knowledge and INTRODUCING FIELD OFFICES TO VIRTUAL MEETINGSInformation Capacity Development As the coronavirus spread worldwide, countless individuals, government employees included, have turned to webinars in lieu of face-to-face meetings. However, the technology behind online meetings can sometimes be challenging to both participants and resource speakers. In particular, the Regional Information and Communication Technology Unit, together with the LGCDD, recognized the need to guide field officers on how to manage virtual sessions and online learning events. The unit thus delivered a series of training sessions about the Zoom platform: • Zoom 101: Vidiquette and Fundamentals of Teleconferencing (May 7, 2020) • Zoom 102: Effective Management of Virtual Sessions (August 14, 2020) • Managing Online Learning Events (September 17, 2020) In one of the sessions, Information Technology Officer I Lennie Yap discussed the fundamentals of teleconferencing and basic features and settings of Zoom. This was followed by a hands-on exercise for participants. Meanwhile, LGOO V Zotico Gerson Villanueva Jr. focused on the dos and don’ts of hosting virtual sessions, and LGOO V Maria Jasmin Diaz shared good practices of other national government agencies on the conduct of webinars.
