Experimental photography With these shots I aimed to capture the abstract nature of the annual Light Festival (Pécs, Hungary) as well as explore my freshly bought first ever - DSLR - camera. I deeply enjoyed all the colors and forms surrounding me as I tried to preserve the essence of this lively event. I had never been on a light festival before but it is definitely a lifetime memory. These photos are not manipulated.

Drawing these sketches I was exploring a subject new to me: the human body. I delibarately chose a ballpoint pen for a medium to prevent having the opportunity to erase any mistakes. Ballpoint pen was also a new medium to me, therefore it was really exciting to explore how I can use it for my advantage as well as working out how I can translate the human body and skin tones onto paper.

I kept the ballpoint pen while experimenting with different technique on each sketch in order to see how they trigger different emotional reactions.

My main inspiration is music. In this series I designed song covers choosing music that has meaning to me. I found it an excellent exercise to learn how to use a simple design and typography together. Partly, I illustrated the lyrics but more importantly my goal was to create an atmosphere that can describe how the song resonates with me emotionally. There are times when you end up with more than one designs that communicate the same message equally effectively. Designing is a fine process and rarely do you keep the very first version, as presented on the following pages. Designing process of „Play” song cover. I had the most fun playing around with variations of the original idea and seeing how a kaleidoscope effect for instance can make dramatic changes. I find it utterly interesting how much potential a simple design has and how many different things we can make out of it. Piano keys „Play” is an electro house song recorded by - amongst others - Nor- I decided that keeping the piano keys convey wegian DJ Alan Walker. Despite its genre, it’s starting off with gentle the message effectively while piano - like melody. To symbolize this I combined piano keys and DJ equipment, first a hand drawn sketch of the idea before taking it to being dynamic enough. The final version is computer and drawing the rest of the grand piano. I wanted to clearly the one that expresses the communicate the mixed nature of the song. I used the actual sound bittersweet, clean melody the most. waves from the song and built the Alan Walker logo in it too.

This project is for the article titled How Google Plays God, about how Google spies on us. I enjoy doing research for my artworks. In it’s first sentence it used a comparison about how God and Lucifer have forever been competing against each other for being the most almighty, however these days more and more contestant enter the ring with our latest being Google itself.I was asked to make an illustration that conveys: „Google is not our friend”. All these designs are sold.

This is an environment awareness project based on the song called „Spaceman” from The Killers. Illustration sold to I meant to symbolise how the Earth would recover itself but we, humans keep standing in its way. a children book. „The Storm Maker says ‚it ain’t so bad’, the Dream Maker’s gonna make you mad, the Spaceman says ‚Everybody look down, - it’s all in your mind.’”

I am currently in between jobs - I have been working in the UK for the past 5 years in customer service. My role before the Covid-19 pandemic was barista at the London Bridge location of Roasting Plants UK. That is were I fell in love with the city and though I had previous ambitions of studying art at university, it became clear to me that I wish to do so in the magnificent capital. I have always had great interest in various art forms including fashion designing dreams as a child, participating in art courses such as clay modeling, kalocsai pattern - drawing, fine arts, etc. Sadly, due to personal circumstances later in my life I did not have the chance to study or practice art but drawing always remained one of my favourite hobbies. As unusual and challenging this year was for all of us, I saw an opportunity to get to know my- self better and this was my chance to further explore graphic designing since I always had been intrigued by it. Every aspect of it just fascinate me, starting from working with clients which I am familiar with and good at, given my customer serving experience; to the complex nature of typography. During this period I completed multiple online courses including Fundamentals of Graphic Design - Calarts and Introduction to Typography (in progress now) through Coursera website. This experience showed me how interesting the subject is and that I find great pleasu- re and excitement completing the assignments best as I can. It is very important to me to take my education to a higher level and I strongly believe that in London especially given that Kingston is highly ranked for design and crafts, I can get the best education possible. I have taken the virtual tour and I am impressed by the number of facilities and workshops available for students. It would be an honor to be taught by your excellent pro- fessors and be part of the vibrant community. I have seen student works and I am particularly impressed by Charlotte Allen’s work, her environment friendliness is something that I also take great interest in and especially her Croydon based project as I live there. I would be thrilled to have the oppurtunity to attend Kingston University, I fell in love with the location as soon as I first visited the town. My long term goal is to design book covers because I feel like I spent 80% of my life reading and even so, I still choose my next read based on how nice its cover is. I appreciate you taking the time to look through my application and portfolio. I am hoping that you will see my potential and consider me as one of your students for the following term.
