Protect Your Investment and Your Bottom Line UltraPro Systems® polished concrete oors are extremely durable but they are not bullet-proof. If they are not properly maintained using cleaning products designed for polished concrete, they will lose their beautiful shine, and will also be more costly and time consuming to repair &/or replace your oor entirely. The most e cient way to maintain the look and performance of your concrete oors is by implementing an end-to-end maintenance care program that protects your oor’s investment and bottom line! Maintenance Programs are Not Expensive or Hard to Implement Polished concrete has the least maintenance costs among all ooring options, but do not confuse low maintenance with no maintenance, there is not any type of oor that is maintenance free. Maintaining polished concrete requires a specialized proactive approach. There are a few simple steps to follow that cleaning professionals can easily perform routine maintenance care that will help preserve and enhance your oor’s shine and improve its performance that will last the lifetime of the building! FLOOR MAINTENANCE USING THE RIGHT CHEMICALS UltraCLEAN® Concrete Cleaner has been speci cally designed to be safe for daily use on polished or exposed concrete oors, and other types of hard surfaces. UltraCLEAN® is a fast-acting cleaner that begins breaking down the chemical bonds between dirt, grease, and grime once it has been placed onto the oor and is uniquely designed with an Encapsulation Technology where it holds these substances in suspension, not allowing these soils to be redeposited onto the oor until suctioned up with an auto scrubber. UltraCLEAN® has also been formulated using a micro-silicate technology which enhances the surface after each use by increasing its abrasion resistance which ultimately improves the oor’s durability, performance, and longevity. NOT ALL CONCRETE FLOOR CLEANERS ARE CREATED EQUALLY Is Water Good Enough? Using water to quickly clean up spills or other accidents is better than nothing, but cleaning and maintaining your concrete oors using only water is not good enough. Using water alone only spreads the dirt, grease, grime, and other contaminants around where it remains on the oor causing it to look dull and deteriorate much faster. Why Do I Need to Use a Cleaner Speci cally for Concrete? There are many types of oor cleaners on the market that are created for hard surfaces, but they are not all created equally, especially for concrete oors. Many contain citrus, butyl, hydroxides or sulfate compounds which have high acidic detergents, these types of ingredients will etch the concrete surface possibly causing permanent damage. FLOOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE The frequency of maintenance depends on the appearance you want and the performance you demand. If your polished concrete oor has high-level foot or wheel tra c, you will need to clean, refresh, rejuvenate or perform a light restoration more often than a low-tra c environment. Regular monitoring of the oor and recording the data in a maintenance log is important. If your current cleaning methods and routines are not meeting expectations, you will know how to make proper adjustments. We are here to help you keep the appearance and performance you demand and having this information will help us to make the best recommendations. FLOOR MAINTENANCE REFRESH REJUVENATE & LIGHT RESTORATION Need To Revive & ‘POP’ The Shine Back? Refreshing, rejuvenating, and performing a light restoration to your concrete oors on a routine basis or when needed will help extend the life, performance, and ensure maximum shine of your oors. REFRESH* If a higher shine is needed beyond what you are getting with your routine cleaning, use a high-speed, propane driven burnisher equipped with high-quality diamond impregnated burnishing pads every 6 months or sooner if necessary. Refreshing helps remove light scratches and slight imperfections resulting in a smooth shine and delays the need for a rejuvenation or light restoration. REJUVENATE & LIGHT RESTORATION Rejuvenating and a Light Restoration are recommended annually, the frequency is contingent on your oor’s current conditions and your desired level of shine. REJUVENATE: Involves a deep clean, reapplying UltraSEAL® or UltraSEAL HS® Concrete Sealer and burnishing with a higher grit diamond impregnated burnishing pads. LIGHT RESTORATION: Involves a deep clean, removal of existing sealer/guard, deep stains, crack &/or spall repairs, adding color-match dyes (if applicable) and a fresh reapplication of UltraSEAL® or UltraSEAL HS® Concrete Sealer. Removal of existing sealer/guard will be prepared by using walk-behind grinders or ride-on power trowels starting with a lower grit diamond and nish with a high-speed burnisher. *Concrete oors that have been previously densi ed &/or treated with a penetrating sealer.
