Around Our Temple 3 Cantor’s Corner IN PREPARATION FOR THIS YEAR’S We’re very excited to see everyone at our Weekend of Welcome. On Friday August 19th, YOM KIPPUR our first Tot Shabbat of the season occurs, and YIZKOR SERVICE the Graftones, our Shabbat band, will be making their return for Erev Shabbat services. 6 Our Youth & Education B’NAI MITZVAHS Dear Parents, Jewish tradition teaches us that the world stands on Evan & Jacob Mussafer three pillars: Torah (Study), Avodah (Worship), and Gemilut Chasadim (Acts of Kindness). All three are essential for Saturday, August 27, 2022 becoming a well-rounded Jew and therefore all three are 10:30 a.m. front and center at Temple Emanu-El as we guide our students in building their own Jewish identities. “BogPeiyc”tu(rGerdafnrodmfathleeftr,:JEovhannI,ves, I am excited to share that our Sundays this Fall will be a day of Jewish who grew up at and became a learning and growth for all our members, the young and the young at heart.
