Around Our Temple 3 Cantor’s Corner We have a number of wonderful musical programs coming up in April and early May. On the night of April 1st, our bima band, “The Graftones”, returns to accompany our worship. At the end of April, beginning on the 29th, we will mirror Israel’s national holidays, beginning with Yom HaShoah, a remembrance of those who perished in the Holocaust. This service will feature an octet of singers and will include music from traditions across Europe that were almost extinguished by the Nazis. A week later, Israel observes its version of Memorial Day followed by Yom Ha’Azmaut, Israeli Independence Day, which we will celebrate with Israeli music during our service on May 6th. Please come and join us for these meaningful and powerful services! Cantor Robby Wittner, Engel Cantorial Chair Special thanks to the Mark K. Broadnax Music Fund and the Ruth & J.D Rosenberger Music Fund, both of the Grafman Endowment Fund, for underwriting our wonderful new bima band.
