I think I am becoming an expert in... I need to pay close attention to... The most difficult thing was... I am proud of myself today because... I still wonder about... The most interesting thing was... The most challenging thing was... I still wonder about... 1 thing I could do better was... The 8 Norms of Collaboration:-    1. Pausing  2. Paraphrasing  3. Probing and Clarifying for Specificity  4. Putting Ideas on and (pulling them off) on the table  5. Paying Attention to Self and Others  6. Presuming Positive Intentions  7. Pursuing a Balance between Advocacy and Inquiry  8. Providing Data

What does Inquiry look like? - (Inquiry Indicators)    = Exploring, Wondering and Questioning.    = Experimenting and playing in possibilities.    = Making Connections between previous learning and current learning.    = Making Predictions.    = Clarifying existing ideas.    = Deepening and understanding in the application.    = Making and testing theories.    = Researching and seeking information.    = Solving problems in a variety of ways.    Attributes Inquirer Knowledgeable Thinker Communicator Principled Open-Minded Caring

Courageous Balanced Reflective Our Essential Agreements = We will inquire about the global issue and gain knowledge about it. - Inquirer & Knowledgeable = We will provide information and take information from primary and secondary sources. - Open-Minded & Communicator = We will reflect on whatever we research. - Reflective = We will provide the sources that we used to help others understand how we did our project. - Open-Minded = We will try to have confidence to try new things and research in depth about the topic. - Courageous = We will participate in all the discussions to improve our knowledge and other’s. - Communicator, Balanced = We will think before we speak with others. - Principled, Thinker = We will try to self direct our learning. - Reflective = We will collect the data and analyze it. - Inquirer = We will make a note of all the primary and secondary resources that we have gathered. - Principled Day-8 We related the SDG to our Global issue Racism:-

We researched about Racism from our Family and Internet and got to know that:- Hasini:- Family: Racism is because of the colour of people. Americans keep the south africans far but now this problem is throughout the globe and many people are unhappy with this problem. Nationally: Even today in India, some people are under racism. Globally: Throughout the globe, now Racism is a big problem. Most of the white people avoid the blacks coming near them. Racism is going in different countries like Finland, Luxembourg, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Austria, Sweden and many more!!! Anusree:- My Perspective: I think racism is insulting someone by their skin color. Family: Racism is caused by skin tone and country. Now it is a Global Issue. Many people get into depression because of bad comments about their skin color. Nationally: Nationally racism is an issue including skin color. Globally: Everyone who has to face racism goes into complete depression. Sahasra:-

Family: Racism is because of the different colour each human has. Americans are usually white so they make fun of the black or less coloured people. Nationally: In some places of India many blacks are getting bullied by the whites on how they look. Globally: Racism is a problem all over the world mostly in the places like Alabama,Texas that is where I live but luckily there is no racism going on in the place where I live, etc… Renudhar:- Family: Racism is a global issue which is affecting many people all over the word and they are doing this as they think the people who are in black color can't do anything. Nationally: People are also in racism in India too! In Assam children are under racism. Globally: Racism is spread all over the globe. Countries such as South Africa, America and even continents such as North America, Europe are under racism. Rishi:- Family: Racism is where someone thinks you’re inferior because of your colour, ethnicity, nationality or race. Nationally: This can result in them treating you differently or unfairly, this is called racial discrimination

Globally: Racism is the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance and can be divided based on the superiority of one race over another. Ashrita:- Family: Racism is one of the most unwanted things in a place, yet it still continues. Racism is giving priority or more respect to a particular race. Everybody should actually be treated equally, then it would not be a global issue. Nationally: Racism also shows up in our own country, India. Some people give more respect to fair people and think it is “prettier”. Globally: Globally, Racism is a very big problem in many countries all over the world. Some of those countries are India, Lebanon, Bahrain, Libya, and Egypt. That means a lot of people in those countries think one race is better than the other.     Akshitha:- My Perspective: I think racism means insulting or teasing someone of their skin color. Family: They think racism means having a negative cause on the community. Nationally: Racism is the belief of a person or a group of people having different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance bullying.

Globally: Globally racism is a threat to peace.   Day-9 Consolidated Version    Racism is hurting / insulting someone because of their skin color or religion. People are also in racism in India too! In Assam children are under racism. In some places of India many blacks are getting bullied by the whites on how they look. Presently, Racism is happening in many countries and some of the countries are Finland, Luxembourg, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Austria, Sweden etc….. Day-10 Action Plans

Renudhar: I will support and be friendly with them and never disrespect anyone by their looks. Consolidated version Our Action Plan: To begin with, we will try to know the people who are experiencing Racism. The next step is that we will treat others the way we want to be treated. In the meantime, we will try to bring awareness about racism through art and stories so that people will understand that we have to stop Racism!!! Finally, we will inspire others to change their behaviour and choices. Day-11 Lines of Inquiries for our theme HWEO Descriptor: An inquiry into the ways in which we discover and express ideas, feelings, natures, culture, beliefs and values. Central Idea: Our perspectives and feelings on issues can be communicated in different artistic ways. Lines of Inquiries:-

The concepts related to our inquiry about Racism:- 1. Causation 2. Perspective 3. Responsibility Lines Of Inquiries 1. People’s opinion on different ways of discrimination. (Perspective) 2. The cause and effect of Racism. (Causation) 3. Actions taken by different organizations pertinent on Racism. (Function) 4. How do we bring awareness to people about Racism? (Responsibility) Day 12 Renudhar: I understood that Photography is an art and talent. it depends on the angles we are taking , which place is nice to take that picture etc.To express a global issue through photography we can show how people are facing it. Hasini: I understood that taking a photo is not just clicking the button but we also have some rules to take photos. Today I also explored that Photography is not like all the other art forms but totally different.I also got to see pictures on some global issues like water scarcity, poverty, ecological collapse etc...

Akshitha: Now I know that taking a photo doesn't just mean seeing the pic or clicking a button, it also matters how u take the photo and it takes talent and practice to take a photo! Bhuvanesh: After seeing and listening to the guest lecture, I understood that taking a photo is not just clicking a button but taking a photo needs a particular skill. The photo we take should tell the definition by itself but not after editing it. The guest also clicked some pictures about his own topics and showed us. Anusree: I understood that taking a picture is capturing the essence of the topic we are seeking to understand/ inquire about. Ashritha: I understood that photography needs lots of skill. There are many factors to consider when taking the perfect photo, such as lighting, angle, and the object which you are taking the picture of. I also understood that there are also meanings behind photos or different things to see, and we should think about the situation. Rishi: After seeing the video, I understood that a photograph is the pause button of life and I understood that in any photography project, it's important that our images should tell a story. Consolidated version After listening to the guest lecture, we learnt that Photography is an art and talent and needs a lot of skill. We discovered that taking a picture is capturing the essence of the topic that we are seeking to understand or inquire about. We explored that there are also meanings behind photos or different things to see, and we should think about the situation. We were thinking that photography is just

clicking a photo but now we know that taking a photo doesn't just mean seeing the pic or clicking a button, it also matters how you take the photo and it takes talent and practice to take a photo. The most challenging part is to express a global issue through photography. We need to show how people are facing it. For example, sir took the pics of : 1. Poverty - People finding for food, shelters 2. Covid 19 - Water Scarcity - People living on the land where it is dry. After knowing about photography, we are proud of ourselves because we learnt what a picture is! Day 13 The inquiry circle that we are using throughout this inquiry Day 14
