Tense Tense can be defined as time . Generally , There are 3 types of tense which can be described below; 1.Present Tense 2.Past Tense 3.Future Tense

1.Present Tense a) Simple Present Tense: Subject + v1/v5 + object V1 V5 Read Reads Play Plays Cry cries Do Does Write Writes

b) Present Continuous Tense • Subject + is/am/are + v4 + Object They are playing football. He is doing homework. Ram is eating food. Sita is washing clothes. are writing poem. Ram and sita are cooking food. In the above sentences, Ram and sita Indicates pronoun They. and I and Rabi Indicates pronoun

In which condition we use is/am/are and v1/v5 Singular noun and pronoun : I,He,she,it,Ram,Hari,Sita,Dog Plural nouns and pronouns:They,we,Ram and sita,He and I If there is singular noun/pronoun then we use is and v5 . Remember that if there is I then we use am and v1. If there is plural noun/pronoun then we use are and v1. I am playing football. He is doing his works. Ram and Sita are writing poem.

Present Perfect Tense • Subject + has/have + v3 + object 1. He has played football. 2. They have done thier homework. 3. Ram and Sita have cooked food. 4. It has eaten grass. 5. Father has scolded me.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense • Subject + has/have + been + v4 + object 1.They have been doing thier work since 2 hrs. 2.Mother has been washing clothes . 3.It has been raining outside since the early morning. 4. We have been palying outside for 2 hours. 5.Teacher has been teaching his students since the early morning.

Past Tense • If any work/event is done/happened in the past time then that is called past tanse. There are four types of past tense which is mentioned below; 1. Simple Past Tense 2. Past continuous tense 3. Past perfect tense 4. Past perfect continuous tense

Simple past tense • Subject + v2 + object Examples of simple past tense are given below; 1. Ram ate apple. Subject Object 2. He went to school. 3. I played Football.

Past Continuous Tense • Subject + was/were + v4 + Object Ram was eating rice. In which condition we use was and were ; Was Were I We He / she They It You

Some examples of past Continuous tense are ; • I was eating rice. • Subject Was/were Verb Object Ram was writing homework. They were playing in the ground.

Past Perfect Tense • Subject + had + v3 + object 1. Teacher had taught us . Subject had Verb Object 2.They had written thier homework. 3.We had cooked food. 4. Asrita had read book. 5. I had gone to school.

Past Perfect continuous tense • Subject + had + been + V4 + Object They had been doing homework. He had been playing in the ground. You had been writing poem. Father had been helping poor people.

Future Tense • Simple future tense: sub + will/shall+v1 + obj 1. They will play football. 2. I shall go to school. 3. She will eat food. 4. Mother will cook delicious food. 5. Teacher will teach us math.

Future Continuous Tense • Sub + will/shall + be + v4 + obj 1. I will be playing football. 2. She will be doing her homework. 3. Father will be checking patients. 4. Teacher will be teaching us. 5. He shall be reading book.

Future Perfect Tense • Sub + will/shall+have+v3 + obj 1. I will have written my homework. 2. They will have played game. 3. Mother will have taught me. 4. She will have watched television. 5. Ramu shall have taken his price.

Future perfect continuous tense • Sub + will/shall + have + been + v4 + obj 1. Asrita will have been cooking food. 2. I will have been securing good marks. 3. Raju shall have been writing his homework. 4. Anu will have been washing dishes. 5. She shall have been watching television.

Auxiliary verb and Main verb • There are only 24 auxiliary verbs and there are many main verbs . • Some main verb are: Read,play,write,cook,cry,weep,start,think,arise,wear,dig,cut,buy,bring, drive,drink,burn,sleep,wake,take,give,go,come,learn,open, etc. • Some auxiliary verbs are mentioned below; have is am are was were had has do did does can could shall should will would may might need to dare to must used to ought to
