Fellow Comrade, We live in a country where the youth is usually classified as inexperience and as a result left behind in all manner of areas of importance even though the Youth dominate in numbers in all fields. Research and data available shows that out of the 30 million plus Ghanaians, 65% of the population are youth and yet they are disadvantaged. It is on this note that I believe the time has come for a “champion” to stand up and drive the Youth to have a strong voice in building our nation. Such “champion” I believe should be someone who is determined, dedicated, honest, intelligent, God fearing, affable and above all a resourceful person. The reason above is why I have dedicated myself to be given the opportunity to lead the Youth Wing of our great NDC party in Western Region to achieve the goals of the party in 2024 by wining power, and also helping the Youth in the Region have hope and stand in our society. 2

Mobilizing the grassroot for victory 2024 #thegamechanger BRIEF PROFILE, My name is Ebenezer Aidoo and I am a marketing, communication and PR cum Mining Engineering specialist and a politician. I come from Dixcove in the Ahanta West Constituency and I am the immediate pass vice chairman of my constituency and double as the Regional Youth Working Committee Chairman. I was a former Parliamentary primary aspirant of Ahanta West Constituency and have worked in various roles in our great party and I have the skill and experience to drive the Youth wing to the next level. I am married with a son. 3

Mobilizing the grassroot for victory 2024 #thegamechanger VISION My vision is to make the Western Regional Youth Wing the best among the 16 regional youth wing groups in NDC and a formidable force to capture power in 2024 AIM My aim is to see majority of the youth in Western Region and Ghana as a whole get well attracted to our great NDC party as we put in a well-planned, coordinated systems to cater for the welfare, education, apprenticeship and training, health and employment of the Youth for 2024 and Future elections. POLICIES My policies are divided into two parts, one for the Youth Wing of our great party and the other for the general youth of Western Region. A. NDC YOUTH WING My policies for our Youth Wing will be based on 5 key blocks 1. DATA BASE AND INFORMATION 2. HEALTH & WELFARE 3. EMPLOYMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP 4. EDUCATION 5. CAMPAIGN SUPPORT &TECHNICAL TRAINING 4

Mobilizing the grassroot for victory 2024 #thegamechanger 1.DATA BASE AND INFORMATION The speed at which information changes every now and then tell us that we need to have a comprehensive data base as a youth wing for our party to dwell on. Information is a powerful tool and as your YOUTH leader I will go all lengths to invest in building a data base for the youth wing. The data base will cover all sectors to make sure that nobody is left out. Between now and 2024 there will be more teenagers who will turn 18 and will be voting for the first time and the data base will capture each and everyone. 2. HEALTH AND WELFARE: The strength of every individual depends on his or her health and welfare. In life if one has no good health and welfare there is always that psychological effect on the person. My research in the 17 constituencies made me come to terms, with the reality on the grounds that the health and welfare of our branch youth organizers in the constituencies should be a priority, hence my will to develop a comprehensive youth welfare scheme for the youth wing. A. I will within the first 3 months of my administration as the youth organizer establish a WELFARE FUND with a seed capital of ten thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc10,000.00) to take care of the health and welfare needs of the youth wing I.e. funerals, weddings, naming ceremonies, health problems, and other equally import social issues. B. A YOUTH TRUSTEE BOARD will be established to see to the management of the welfare fund. The 7-member board will be constituted see to it that a well-coordinated welfare scheme is run smoothly to solve all youth related health and welfare issues. The trustee must see to it that the welfare fund is sustained to the benefit of the YOUTH WING and must come up with ideas to grow the fund. Four of the seven members of the board will be youth professionals from finance and accounting background. 5

There will be two (2) youth welfare coordinators from every constituency to be the link between the board of trustees and the constituency. This will help for effective coordination of all welfare activities of the constituency. D. A Youth Health and Welfare Policy will be established within the first 3 months of my administration. 3. EMPLOYMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP It is a known fact that youth unemployment is a national security issue, as a greater number of the youth are jobless in our dear country Ghana. It is based on this that I pledge to help bridge the gap of the unemployment situation in Western Region. As your youth organizer A. I will push for a quota, any time there is a major government employment in all sectors of employment for the youth i.e. Security services, health and allied services, hospitality, construction, agriculture, etc. B. I will lead a crusade for those who want to be self-employed to get funding from the various government Youth entrepreneurship programs to establish themselves. C. I will encourage and support the Youth who have interest in agriculture to be established through the youth in agriculture program. D. I will encourage and support SPORT youth professionals 7

In Ghana formal education for the youth has not been efficient as the NPP keeps playing politics with it. I pledge to add my voice to push for better education for all when I become the next Regional Youth Organizer A. I will put up a team of educationist who are YOUTH to come up with policies that can help our education system in the region and Ghana as a whole so we forward to national for consideration. B. Advocate for scholarship and sponsorship opportunities for our Youth to do their degree, 2nd degree (masters) and doctorate both here in Ghana and abroad C. Liaise with educational civil society groups, for cross training that will help our youth establish themselves D. Liaise with educational agencies to support good but needy students from rural communities get the opportunity to continue their education at the higher level. ie vocational, technical, and university E. Advocate for the establishment of three Technological Centers to advance learning of ICT in the Region 9

Mobilizing the grassroot for victory 2024 #thegamechanger 5.CAMPAIGN SUPPORT / TECHNICAL TRAINING Throughout my research and consultations with the YOUTH, one major thing that came to light is neglect in campaign support. Most youth had the drive to join our campaign but because of common logistics like T-shirt scarcity they failed to partake in our campaign activities. Again, funding for the various Constituency Youth Programs was a challenge for most constituency youth organizers and their deputies. It is as a result of this that I placed this concern as part of my core policies for the Youth Front. I believe with my strong marketing and connections this problem will be a thing of the past. As the Youth Organizer I will: 1. Propose to the Regional Executive Committee (REC) to have 3 major Youth Rallies for the before the elections in 2024. The 3 Zones in the Region i.e., will be (Wassa Enclave, Nzema / Ahanta Enclave and the Metro Enclave). This is to bring the constituencies together for the stronger constituencies to help the orphan constituencies. 2. Propose at Regional Executive Committee (REC) and National Executive Committee (NEC) for a Youth Fund to all constituencies to support their ground work and house to house campaigns. 3. Provide personally 200 T – Shirts and other logistics for every constituency for the Youth Wing. I will do this through the support from my donors and sponsors. 10

Mobilizing the grassroot for victory 2024 #thegamechanger 4. Push for every YOUTH Wing in every constituency get one motor bike to aid their transportation needs. 5. Organize a technical training for all the constituency and branch youth organizers to equip and position us for victory in 2024. 6. Collaborate with the women’s wing to come up with programs that will whip the interest of the Youth who are female. For the youth in general I will tap in the direction of policies by our next government and use my influence to help get whatever necessary to support them in the region. Thank you. 11
