Once upon a time…… Paula took a trip to South Africa with South African singer songwriter, Sharon Katz and met Dr. Barbara Mitchell, director of the After School Program at the First United Methodist Church of Germantown. Dr. Mitchell invited Paula to come teach an art class in her program. Paula asked Joan to join her and the rest is history.
The SGP is a diverse community of Muslims, Christians, Jews, old, young, varying economic backgrounds, working with sharp-edged glass, red hot soldering irons, grinders and saws to create original stained glass artwork that becomes a part of the lives of children throughout the United States and the world.
