He represented the Sadabad constituency of Uttar Pradesh as a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Previously he represented the Sikandra Rao and Hathras constituencies, being member of the assembly four times in the process. On 14 January 2022, he resigned from the Bahujan Samaj Party and on 15 January 2022, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Upadhyay was born on 1 August 1957 in the village of Bamauli in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Govind Mishra (1 August 1939), is a famous Hindi poet and writer who has written more than 53 books. He was also a civil servant with Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and retired as Chairperson, Central Board of Direct Taxes in 1997. Over the years, he has written 11 novels, 14 short story collections, five travelogues, five literary essays collection, a poem collection and 2 story books for children. He has been awarded the most prestigious Hindi awards namely Vyas Samman (1998) and Sahitya Akademi Award (2008). He received Saraswati Samman for the year 2013 for his book Dhool Paudho Par published in 2008. Rohit Tokas (1 August 1993), is an Indian boxer. He has won a bronze medal for India in the Commonwealth Games, 2022 held at Birmingham, England. Tilak was the first leader of the Indian independence movement. The British colonial authorities called him \"The father of the Indian unrest\". He was also conferred with the title of \"Lokmanya\", which means \"accepted by the people as their leader\". Mahatma Gandhi called him \"The Maker of Modern India\". Tilak was one of the first and strongest advocates of Swaraj ('self-rule') and a strong radical in Indian consciousness. He formed a close alliance with many Indian National Congress leaders including Bipin Chandra Pal, Lala Lajpat Rai, Aurobindo Ghose, V. O. Chidambaram Pillai and Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Begum Qudsia Aizaz Rasul (4 April 1908 – 1 August 2001), was the only Muslim woman member of the Indian Constituent Assembly. After the dissolution of the Muslim League in India in 1950, she joined the Congress. She was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1952 and then was a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1969 to 1990. Between, 1969 and 1971, she was the Minister for Social Welfare and Minorities. In 2000, she was awarded a Padma Bhushan for her contribution to social work. Harkishan Singh Surjeet (23 March 1916 – 1 August 2008), was an Indian Communist politician from Punjab, who served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) from 1992 to 2005 and was a member of the party's Polit Bureau from 1964 to 2008. He started his political career in the national liberation movement in his early teens, as a follower of the revolutionary socialist Bhagat Singh and in 1930 joined his Naujawan Bharat Sabha. In 1936, Surjeet joined the Communist Party of India. He was a co-founder of the Kisan Sabha (Farmer's Union) in Punjab. He died on 1 August 2008 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
