Pense Berry Farm Pense Nursery, Inc., is a family owned and operated farm with three generations of experience in growing and shipping small fruits. Berries,grapes, and even fruit and nut trees can be grown in your backyard to provide fresh fruit for you and your family. We grow small fruit plants for backyard farmers, and for commercial operations, too. With three generations of experience, we provide the largest variety of top- quality blackberries, raspberries, grapes, and more. These fine plants are grown here at our farm, with tender loving care. We'llwork with you to make sure you receive them in top condition, and at just the right time for planting.

Tay BerryThis is a combined parentage of Red Raspberry and Blackberrycrosses.It is similar to the Red Raspberry in its character. But it carries someof the Blackberry traits. Yield and flavor are very good. Berries arelarge conical shape, firm and well filled.Core stays in the berry similar to blackberry species, but color isdeep red like the Red Raspberry types . The taste is more in likeness to the Red Raspberry, but has hints of boysenberry in its flavor. Tay Berry will out yield standard raspberry. In places it proven to be adapted.

Chickasaw Blackberry This variety is very early ripening about three days later than the Choctaw, Size of fruit is similair to Kiowa. Yields were higher than any of the previous thorny releases, from Arkansas. Flavor of fruit was rated very high. Fruit is large and long and cylindrical in shape, very firm fruit, with black glossy finish. Hardiness is comparible to the Shawnee and Kiowa, and better than the Choctaw.Chickasaw is moderately resistant to Anthracnose, and no signs of Orange Rusthave been spotted in plantings.

GrapesFredonia GrapesAn extremely winter hardy, Concord type grape. Also one of theearliest ripening, very vigorous vines. Grapes are very large,well filled. Use as you would the Concord Grape.Many people call this grape the money maker as it is one of thefirst to fruit, it also has fuller blue colors then the Concord doesin Southern areas.Seedless Concord GrapesA seedless sport of the Concord with slightly smaller clusters,occasionally a seed is present but mostly grapes are seedless.Highly regarded as a super pie grape, has good vigor, and goodproduction after it reaches full maturity Ripens about one weekprior to the Concord, hardy in zones 5-8.
