(phi) losophy - FW17

Description: (phi)losophy, our Fall | Winter 2017 collection, is all about what brings balance and meaning to life. Comprised of three main themes, Science, Poetry and Art, this collection presents numbers and geometric shapes at the same time it plays with words and harks back to the Renaissance. We wanted to pose questions, to pursue wisdom and, overall, to never forget that looking at the world through the eyes of a child is always a nice way to go through life.

Can feelings be expressed through words?

do we always have to end everything we start?

Are we born poets or do we become poets?

What is Poetry for?

can we choose who we will be?

what? do numbers go on forever?

is it better to be alone or with friends?

is growing up a good thing?

what is beauty?

are we all alike?

is freedom always doing what we like?

should we try everything?

do artists see the world differently?

are we all artists?

When some brands keep up with our children’s growthwe feel that they are our own. Knot’s invitation reachedme, Joana, Madalena and Violeta’s mother, architect andillustrator, in a completely natural way. The story was writtenfrom my side, what we may well call the consumer’s side.A sort of reverse operation in which my family interpret whatthey wear and tell their story. Our day-to-day is so full ofart, even when we simply “are” and contemplate the beautyof things. This photographic report that I made, framed in atheme which is so ours, resulted in a sensorial register of ourbeing. Thanks Knot for the challenge.Joana Soares“Violeta Cor de Rosa”
