The Covid-19 pandemic completely halted the air transport industry, causing a landslide decrease in passenger numbers. We watched aircraft parked and the world’s busiest airports becoming ghost towns. Preparing to restart the industry is Vital for meeting worldwide passenger traffic increase, and the survival of civil aviation as a business. This report will analyse the safety and security implications that come with restarting the industry. Moreover, meeting the recovering demand whilst adhering to consistently changing regulatory requirements and guidance worldwide. Aiming to reduce the risk factors leading to issues that could arise from aircraft operators returning from extended periods of time away from their roles.
The material in this report is presented as guidance, to aid in understanding and reducing issues that are projected to arise. Following the inevitable sudden return of passenger traffic, it is expected that when air traffic returns numbers will grow exponentially.
