Sailing Around Poetry '21

Dear Readers, March, 2021 It is known that every culture on every continent on earth enjoys poetry as it speaks to our 'common humanity and shared values.' It is one of the humankind’s most precious ways of cultural and linguistic expression and identity: Poetry. I would like to state that the students whose poems are printed herein are the poets of the future; now they are current poets – poets with a publication credit. This poetry book is an important tool to recognise the young poets, who continue to contribute to the growing poetry. Anyone reading these poems, I would require you to recognize that ‘here are young people – Kultur2000 Students’ who pay attention to their world, whose imaginations with a second language allow them to bring both insight into their surroundings and pleasure to the community. Their poems cover a range of styles and topics range from family to friendship to pets to environment. As Kultur2000 College, we will keep on encouraging our students’ creativity, inspiring them and restoring a dialogue between poetry and other arts. We will always provide the opportunity to our little poets speak out their feelings and their shared values by their poems. As Kultur2000 College, we are also very proud of our students who contributed to the 5th issue of our poetry book “Sailing Around Poetry” with their poems this year. I would also like to congratulate and thank the parents, teachers, and others who have encouraged our poets to write these poems and broaden their perspectives. Nature is different NATURE Where people live. Nature is more beautiful There are thousand of creatures in hature Where people live. Most of rhese creaturs are not well protected Let’s love and protect Let’s not pollute nature , lets love. Nature is home to animals. The beauty of natüre does not end Nature belongs to your animals. BEAUTIFUL NATURAL HORSE My good-natured horse, My sweetest part You are fast, you are naughty You can't stay still for a minute. SEASONS Winter is very cold, How nice to play in the snow! Softly soft snow, In winter days you warm up and have hot coffee, Best to spend time with family! It rains in autumn, Fallen leaves, What a sweet wind makes you happy! Jumping into the puddle is fun to play! Don't forget to take your umbrella! Summer has come, time to cool! STOP RACISM You have Brown skin, I have White, You have green eyes, I have blue, You have curly hair, I have straight, I have seen racism to them. You have seen it done to you, I have learned racism in my country, You have learned equality, The world doesn’t know we have colorful clothes, But they hate our type of clothes, They always wear the same thoughts, But they don’t know extraordinary is the best of thought. They said women are weak, But they’re born from a mother’s tummy, They don’t want women’s education, But they don’t do their pollution, Same things are not normal, Be creative be abnormal, Stop this it’s insane everyone has rights, normally, Stop the war just, look in our heart kindly. SNOW DAY Snow is falling on the ground, Watching all around, School is canceled for day Children run outside to play. Snowballs are thrown in the air No one has any care About school-only fun, Because the day is a snowy one As the weather gets cold, The children are told To come in side and eat Enjoy hot chocolate Almost over is the day, The children start to walk away Some of them play around, While other kids just lay on the ground Merve Melisa Örgüt – 6A

CLEAN FEATHERS Some birds sing Some birds dance When there is storm, Birds needs to keep warm. They need to hide in trees , Let’s keep those trees. Birds need nature , Let’s keep the nature . THE LITTLE LEAF The little leaf falls He sees the city of rains, From the grand sassafras. Much smaller than others, But more civilized than others. While falling he meets The youngest of winds. He sees various trees… People who treat natüre with Then he goes To the highest peak of Alpes manners… To meet the elder of winds. He sees little lives, Worth of thousands. While he travels He sees the city of skyscrappers, He sees rains,snows,sandstorms… Covered in the blackness of dark- Bushes,palmies,oaks… ness. Goats,butterflies,camels… With many lives, Filled with thousands Finally he reaches the Alps, Of ruthless lives… And finds the winds, Uncilized in so many ways… And elder of winds. Someone comes and steps On the life leaf so uncaringly,so Elder sent the little leaf to cities Of sands,rains and skyscrappers. ruthless… There is only the remains Of the reflection of innocents. He sees the city of sands, Ali Arda Aydın - 8D Much bigger than others. But there is no life signs, Even cachtuses… He immediatly leaves, From this city of nothings.

CHILDREN LOVE Children are the body of love Children are everything They are playing games, smiling and they shine out Children will protect our future If adults watch the childrens They will remember their childhood Adults will happ with children joy Children are everything Yiğit Ergün - 8D

PEACE All we need is peace for a harmonic world Why are societies judging each other White, black, short, tall it doesn’t matter We are all different but this is what makes us great It isn’t so hard to love But it is the thing that will save the world Love, respect, help and make the world happier And now you are part of this happy world Don’t kill, don’t torture This is not the right way If you want to be strong You need to be loved Peace is the only way Love is love, does it matter who you love You can’t save yourself or anyone With hate and without love Defne Özışık - 8D

NATURE LOVE World is changing The new generation is addicted to the internet They don’t even go out for picnic When they go they throw out garbage and that garbage go everywhere with winds and rains . Be aware of our seas , green lands and our animal’s habitats Go to the forest and jungles Go fishing But when you go fishing see the river’s beauty And look at fishes , they are one of the most well-created species in the World After you catch them you need to let them go Nature love is not just like this You need to use the renewable resources .
