46 a) Basis of claims An Employee is eligible to claim for his out-going journey: Meal If he leaves his home location / office Breakfast, lunch & dinner Before 8.00 am Lunch & dinner only Between 8.00 am to 1.00 pm Dinner only After 1.00 pm An Employee is eligible to claim for his return journey: Meal If he returns to his home location / office Breakfast, lunch & dinner After 7.00 pm Breakfast & lunch only Between 1.00 pm and 7.00 pm Breakfast only Before 1.00 pm For day-trip travelling, an Employee is eligible for the full day meal allowance if he leaves his home base before 8.00 am and returns to home base after 7.00 pm. If he leaves the home base after 8.00 am, breakfast allowance is not included and if he returns to home base before 7.00 pm, dinner allowance is not included. b) Employees shall not claim for the meal which is already being provided / paid by a third party or by the Company e.g. free breakfast at the hotel, dinner provided by supplier, lunch provided during seminar / training etc. c) When travelling in a group, each Employee shall be responsible for his own meal expenses. If social practice dictates that someone should pay for the bill, this person shall then collect from the rest of the Employees the proportionate cost of their meals.

47 37.5 Hotel accommodation (Within Malaysia) When overnight accommodation is necessary during business travel, Employees should exercise discretion in selecting appropriate hotels. Due consideration is given to the location and distance between the hotel and the meeting place /office. Grade With Receipt Without Receipt 18 to 25 Up to RM400 RM150 per night 14A to17 Up to RM300 RM125 per night 10 to 13 Up to RM250 RM100 per night a) Employees should ensure that the hotel room reservation is made prior to travelling. Reimbursement of hotel bills (full tax invoice inclusive of SST is provided) shall be based on actual, subject to the maximum limit as shown above. Those who have alternative arrangement for accommodation and do not wish to stay at the hotel may claim for an allowance as stated above. b) Employee shall pay for the hotel room charges upon checking out unless other arrangement has been made in advance. c) Other incidental expenses such as laundry, reading materials, in- house pay-movies, telephone and meals should be on the Employee’s own account. d) When travelling in a group, Employees of the same sex (Grade 17 & below) shall share a Double Room subject to their eligibility as stated above. e) Employees should exercise their discretion in selecting reasonable class hotel instead of high-end hotels for their stay. 37.6 Overseas Travel Land transport Type of payment Taxi, Train, Coach Reimbursement based on actual receipts.

If the flight time is 5 hours or less, then Economy class shall apply. 37.7 Overseas Travel – Reimbursement of Food Expenses Due to the vast variance in the cost of meals in different countries the Company has decided to replace the subsistence allowance with “reimbursement of food expenses”. a) For official overseas travel, an Employee is eligible to claim for reimbursement of his food expenses. This includes the normal breakfast, lunch and dinner, drinks & beverages etc. Employees should use their discretion in selecting reasonable class restaurants / hotels while having their meals. b) Reimbursement shall be based on receipts / vouchers whenever applicable. For items where receipts are not available, the Employee has to itemize and indicate the amount accordingly. c) Cash advance equivalent to the number of days x (approximate food expenses and hotel room rate) may be given to Employees who are expected to travel overseas exceeding 3 consecutive days. d) Employees should ensure that they have sufficient relevant foreign currency when they travel overseas, as the Malaysian Ringgit is not accepted in other countries. e) Employees who have to be based overseas for a continuous period exceeding 2 weeks shall be paid a lump sum advance. The amount shall be computed depending on the destinations, and this shall be decided at the discretion of the Company on a case to case basis.

Employees should exercise their discretion in selecting reasonable class hotel instead of high-end hotels. a) Employees may claim for hotel accommodation based on actual receipts subject to the limit as approved by Company. The hotel rate shall be revised from time to time at the discretion of the Company after taking into consideration the comparative cost of living in each destination. b) Employees should ensure that the hotel room reservation is made prior to travelling. The Employee shall settle the hotel charges upon checking out unless other arrangement has been made in advance. c) When travelling in a group, Employees of the same sex (Grade 17 & below) shall share a Double Room whenever possible. The person who settles the hotel room charges shall be eligible to claim for reimbursement of the same. 37.9 Public Holiday during Overseas Trip Employees who travel overseas shall observe the public holidays, if any, in that country which they are visiting. At the same time the public holiday, if any, in Malaysia shall not be applicable to them while they are overseas.

50 38. OFFICIAL ENTERTAINMENT a) The Company recognizes that entertainment is sometimes necessary in the course of conducting company business. b) Employees who are required to entertain clients, government officials etc. should exercise discretion in selecting the type of restaurants or entertainment outlets which commensurate with the nature of entertainment. Entertainment at expensive restaurants and entertainment outlets is discouraged. c) When official entertainment is being conducted in a group, social practice and company procedure dictate that the person with higher seniority within the Company shall pay for such expenses. d) Details of the entertainment such as name and position of the person(s), name of company & purpose of entertainment etc. should be provided when the Employee submits the claims for reimbursement. e) For any entertainment expenses that exceed RM 500 in Malaysia, full tax invoice is required for reimbursement. f) Executives who have to entertain on behalf of their superior must ensure that they have received the approval from the Company before attending to such function.

Employees shall be provided with the above insurance cover upon employment. 2. The sum insured and the hospitalisation plans may be revised from time to time at the discretion of the Company. Employees who are below sixty-five (65) years of age only are eligible for Group Insurance & Hospitalisation Insurance cover. 3. The extent of benefits provided under the hospitalisation benefits shall be in accordance with the schedule in the insurance policy. Employees shall be responsible to pay for any amount exceeding their respective limit and / or for any items not reimbursable by the insurance company. 4. If an Employee elects to stay in a ward where the ward charge is higher than his entitlement, the Employee concerned is liable to pay for the difference in the ward charges plus an additional 20% of the total medical charges. 5. All Employees are encouraged to nominate their beneficiaries for the Personal Accident Insurance scheme and Group Term Life scheme. This will expedite the payment of compensation in the event of a major claim. 6. Employees should adhere to the procedure on notification to insurance company and admission to hospitals. 7. All intended admissions to hospital must be reported to Human Resource Department at first available opportunity for record purpose. 8. The Group Term Life insurance is covered against death due to natural causes only.

The LGB Group shall mark 18 October as a special holiday to commemorate the birthday of the Founder, the late Dato’ Lim Geok Bak. In the event this special holiday falls on an off-day, rest day or public holiday, there shall be no replacement holiday. If an ad-hoc holiday is being declared by the Federal Government under the Holidays Act, the Group shall recognize such holiday accordingly. The corporate offices shall be closed half day on the eve of New Year (1 January), Hari Raya Puasa and Chinese New Year respectively. In the event the eve of such holidays falls on an off-day, rest day or public holiday, there shall be no replacement off day for this purpose. - END -
