January 2022 New Year Edition - Issue #5 RESULTS Tarpons 2 Clewiston 2 11-2-1 Saves: Alexander Cash 7 Scoring: Tyler Amaral 2, Noah Rodriguez 1 Player of the Game: Tyler Amaral We were a little “gassed” against Clewiston. We got off to a fast start and went up 2-0. We had a lost minute in the second half and we allowed 2 goals. Our finishing needs a little more work before we hit the playoffs. RESULTS CONT. Tarpons 1 SMA 0 (forfeit) 12-2-1 Another disappointing forfeit, we need to play these games! Tarpons 1 Cape Coral 0 SENIOR NIGHT 13-2-1 Saves: Alexander Cash 6 Scoring: Tyler Amaral asst Dylan Salomon Man of the Match: Tyler Amaral Dirty Shirt: Donovan Hynes Silver Spoke: Noah Rodriquez Sportsmanship: Oliver Poincy This was our most complete team performance all season. Great effort for 80 minutes and a taste of what type of team we can be. We played with heart and passion. Congrats to our Seniors. Tarpons 2 Venice 3 12-3-1 Scoring: Tyler Amaral Unassisted Akeem Stephenson assist Brady Hall Man of the Match: Akeem Stephenson Dirty Shirt: Logan Sweet Silver Spoke: Alex Cash Lift Em Up: Deacon Powell Sportsmanship: Donovan Hynes Not gonna lie … This one hurt. We had an opportunity to beat Venice for the first time in school history, we had them on the ropes up 2-1. We had a 2 minute lapse where Venice pressed us hard and put in two goals. We could not answer. Despite our disappointment – we are putting it all together and we should bring some excitement to the playoffs. We will keep our chins up and finish strong. JUST DRIBBLIN ABOUT (WORDS FROM THE COACH): BE GREEN! The importance of being “Green.” We defined what it means to be “money” or “green” at the beginning of our season. It is time for us to revisit that discussion and make sure we (the team, the staff, our fans) are all on the same page. Being green means that we are doing everything we can to help each other succeed. It is not about who has the most goals or who has the most minutes, we celebrate those things at the end of the season, but to be successful as a team, we need to focus on the team. I sent a message to the team this week about being “ALL- IN.” We have an opportunity to do something that hasn’t been done since 2011. That can only happen if we come to every practice with a grateful heart and the desire to make each other better. GAME  |  6 MINDFULNESS JOY DEDICATION GRATITUDE
