What do you think the coded message tells you? Did Beatrice know she had been given Lady Henrietta’s untouched glass when she spilled her own drink? Did she think the butler had poured her a fresh glass of punch?

Lady Henrietta is convinced someone meant to poison her at her own party. She may not be the nicest person I’ve ever met ... but I don’t think many people would want to kill her.

I know Lady Henrietta and Beatrice had argued recently. Beatrice wanted Lady Henrietta to sell Puzzle Hall to her but Lady Henrietta refused. Is it possible that Lady Henrietta really wanted Beatrice dead?

What does Detective Puzzler think? Could Lady Henrietta be pretending to be shocked that there was poison in her glass or did she put it there?

Cluedunnit Let’s have a little game of Cluedunnit and see if you can use your detective skills to work out which suspect we’re looking for to question next. Look at the description below, cross out the suspects that don’t match and let’s see who we’re going to speak to next! 1. The witness does not have a hat 2. The witness does not have blonde hair 3. The witness is a man 4. The witness has something in their pocket 4. The witness does have facial hair (a beard or a moustache) 5. The witness is wearing a tie

How quickly did you guess that your next witness would be Dr Diamond?

Dr Diamond … 1. does not have a hat 2. does not have blonde hair 3. is a man 4. he has a handkerchief in a pocket 5. he has a goatee beard 6. he is wearing a tie

As a doctor I tried to help Beatrice Campion but there was nothing I could do. Whatever she drank was a fast acting poison. I took a look in her bag to see if she was on any medication. I found a small vial that was empty but had contained a foul smelling liquid.

It is also true that, as a doctor, I do have access to poisons but I am trained to help people and not to harm them and I would never use my training to murder anyone. I tried to help Beatrice not kill her!

You have also managed to find more evidence this time in the form of a statement from movie actress, Scarlett Leigh!

Beatrice Campion seemed quite fascinated by Lady Henrietta’s glass. Three times I found her picking up the glass and each time I told her it was Lady Henrietta’s drink. Is it possible Beatrice was adding poison to Lady Henrietta’s drink?

What does Detective Puzzler think of the evidence you’ve found?
