One Day Lumbar Lysis of Adhesions with Racz® CathetersWhat is Lysis of Epidural Adhesions? Also Known As Lysis of Epidural AdhesionsLysis of Epidural Adhesions (Racz® Procedure) is a technique involving site-specific catheter placement Percutaneous Neuroplastyand injections intended to “open up” the perineural space. The injectates are designed to free the nerve Racz® Procedureroot from restrictions and reduce painful nerve roots inflammation. AdhesiolysisA steerable soft-tip Racz® Catheter is guided to the targeted nerve root where medication isadministered. These Racz® Catheters are introduced via a specially designed, shear-resistant, epiduralneedle called the RX-2™ Coudé® or RX Coudé®.Lysis of Adhesions Procedure with Racz® Catheter2,3 Typically Indicated For Patients With11 RX Coudé® Needle Entry and Placement 2 LOR - Dye to Confirm Epidural Placement Failed back surgery syndrome 90° Spinal stenosis Epidural adhesions Chronic back pain from excessive scarring in the anterior lateral epidural space Radicular pain unresponsive to epidural steroid injectionsRX Coudé® 5 Visualization of Opened Up Neuroforamen open epidural space3 Epidurogram 4 Catheter Placement, Runoff Visualization, Medication Delivery failed spinal cord stimulator due to scarred nerve roots When the catheter is bending laterally, the tip is usually in the filling defect ventral/lateral epidural space. 6 Removal of Needle and Observation Period for the Absence of Motor Block, Followed by Infusion of Hypertonic Saline catheter tip Stingray® ConnectorFeatured ProductsRacz® Catheter Racz® Catheter RX-2™ Coudé® 7 Begin Neural Flossing Exercises - Consult with Stingray® and Epimed Rep for Guide E-Cap Stylet 16g • 3.5” (9 cm) • Catalog #:107-1416 ReferencesXL Configuration to Select Firm or Soft RX-2™ Tuohy Catheter Tip Coudé® Tip 1.
